Oil and Fast Fashion are the worst, but realistically, most industries should reduce :coffee2:

Auto industry is where to start because once you get that worked on, the rest will fall in line

Not sure what point you are trying to make, my opinion is not malthusian, I just think we should stop existing sooner rather than later.

Nothing. Let’s keep polluting and pumping groundwater at maximum rates to destroy, tilt and spin ourselves out of the solar system into certain death.

She’s busy promoting her music career. Not everybody has that kind of demand. :gaycat4:

The US Department of Defence produces more carbon emissions than 140 countries.

US military aims for net zero by 2050 but with a carbon footprint greater than some 140 countries critics say it needs radical change

Quote

A 2019 report found that the Department of Defense is not only the largest consumer of energy in the US but is also the world’s largest institutional consumer of petroleum and, thus, the world’s largest institutional emitter of greenhouse gases. Between 2001 and 2017 the DoD was responsible for emitting 1.2bn metric tons of greenhouse gases – equivalent to the annual emissions of 257m cars. This year it is expected to burn through 82.3m barrels of fuel, more than the total oil consumption of Finland.

The US Military needs to be first, the others all need serious reduction and replacements.

In the short term, the Automotive and Airline industries are needed, but can mostly be replaced by better public transport options.

Huge taxes for private jet owners could be used to fund public transport for everyone else.

Switching from eating beef, especially grain fed beef, to fish, chicken, pork, or almost anything else would make a huge difference.
