discussion At what age did you lose your innocence?

I had the privilege that my childhood was quite perfect, dreamy, and very Disney-esque  Everything was fun and things were dope in every sense, and the world was seen through rose-colored glasses. When I was 11-12 years old, my father betrayed my mother with another woman and started to hate us deepy everyday. I also entered a new school with rich evil entitled bullies and it was hell. Wish i got into the one with classy-kind ones instead.
 

That was the moment when I began to see the world in a darker way.
Today im happy but yes....that was a life-changing situation 
 

Does anyone here have a moment like that?
A pivotal moment in their life where they feel like they somehow buried a part of themselves and their outlook of the world totally changed? 

it can be from childhood,teenhood or young adulthood like britney with the justin timberlake breakup-abortion

When was it? when was your Turning Point?

11-ish I think. I grew up faster becuz of bullies

Raised in poverty in the Appalachian mountains(right near where Dolly Parton was born if you know her history) by a single mother with two siblings all a year apart. And I was seemingly the only gay person in the whole world and scared for my life.
 

thankfully I got a full scholarship to a school in NYC and never looked back. 
 

anyway I think I lost it as soon as people started calling me a f** to my face maybe like 5yrs. But in high school someone told me “I want to gather all the gay people and throw them off a cliff” and there was a big cliff by the river in my town. And he ment it. So I sucked it up and got a girlfriend 😂😂

13 when a mf throw me a stone at my face for being femenine at school that was crazy and i become to feel so much  hate for men and being angry with myself...and then same age  in the church pastor calling fagss demons lmao..i wake up of my dreamy child life...

I think life started punching at the age of 8 but the worst was around 11-13, kinda still processing it

About 6 or 7 years old is when I noticed my father was a physically and mentally abusive psychopath and also noticed how nobody helped my mother. So probably around then.

 

Luckily my mom got my sis and I out of that situation around 15. Haven't seen him since except in court.

Not really a loss of innocence but when I was 11 I started to resent my parents for being so strict because it was having a negative impact on my social life/ self confidence. I couldn't wait to grow up and do whatever I wanted

Very young, with friends my age then on kindgarten, "u touch mine, i toucj yours". I also had an older brother so I found his porn stash. Then the pass to the porn channel. 

 

My family wasnt prude, so I was never demonized by have seen porn or wanting to. They thought I was straight so in my culture boys were super encourage in "being a man", "the more women u have sex with the best u are perceived". It was always celebrated if I want to see women naked. U would learn it is ok for a men to cheat because it is his nature and women should forgive. 

 

If i wanted money to buy a Playboy my mother would give me, no problem. Even if I was a minor, this was seeing as being normal. If I didnt do that she would think something was wrong with me. I had a full collection of magazines and my bedroom walls or covered by naked women pics lol I was 15 or 16, this was considered normal.

 

Mind u, this is not so long ago.
