Mariah’s version and the Pure Imagination remix clear. (The whole remix EP is good.) Brenda does have a salsa version of I Still Believe that I really like though.

Both are different, the original is much more a 80s song and I love it. Mariahs version is also good.

 

What I love more is how Brenda was nice to Mariah, she never was intimidated by Mariah's talent and always want to foward her carreer even when Mariah was only her background singer, she would always make a moment to showcase Mariah. She even was the one who brought Mariah to an industry party where her demo ended up on Mottolas hands. 

 

For me this backstory makes this song sweeter and not only a love ballad.
