Ok! Let's take a look at the logic. It is all relative. All musicians are capable of producing multiple copies, and if they do, then why can't they compete? It is like buildings or cars. If the company can produce different colors of the same car or have certain features (like deluxe albums) then it makes more sense. Now some cars will still sell more than others, but that is due to demand and not variety. I might like a Corvette and not a Volkswagon. I might choose a particular color or buy a few of them if I am a collector. It has nothing to do with a number of different cars but strictly with demand and what the public wants. Since Swift is the better and more popular artist people will buy her product over other artists who may even have more variants.

i don’t have a record player but i buy vinyl as house decor. they look nice especially if they have nice artwork and you frame them. i know a lot of people do the same.

I think I read a story that it’s like 50/50 or something - a large portion of modern vinyl consumers don’t necessarily use it to listen, but the number of people that do is steadily increasing thanks to relatively affordable players and the popularity of the format with major artists.

Completely anecdotal, but I got a record player during the pandemic and have been using these re-records to update to my collection.  I don’t get all of them (sorry speak now), but otherwise it can be pretty hit or miss as to what I can find at my local record shop.

I've bought all of them except speak now too  and I like that album but I was just never driven to get it for some reason.

She also gained alot of hipsters as fans with folklore and we love vinyl
