I don’t want Selena to make a political post. I would not trust her with delivering highly sensitive news to anyone. She’s not equipped with any sort of reporting decorum.

Because the GP in the US generally doesn't deeply care/know about what's happening overseas. Yall know this. Why are yall so adamant about getting support from celebrities here? They can't do anything. There's sh*t happening everywhere, in every country. Isn't the Ukraine still at war? Didn't the US just have another mass shooting? Isn't apartheid+ the coltan and diamond "trade" in Africa still killing and misplacing millions? You don't see Africans trying to cancel celebrities, and very select few celebs have ever talked about those issues in the last 40 years.  I bet yall have no idea what that even is.
