New Netflix series 'Absolute Beginners', described as a Polish answer to 'Stealing Beauty' and 'Call Me by Your Name', focuses on two childhood best friends Lena and Niko, who are enjoying their final seaside summer as they prepare for film school. After they meet an aspiring athlete, unfamiliar desires are ignited.

This one absolutely caught me off guard by how good it was :jonny:

This honestly didn’t look that queer going by the trailer imo.

How actually gay is this?

It was definitely queer/gay, let's just say that

I loved this series so much! It actually dealt with so many different issues without resorting to tired clichés and predictable plot lines.

The connection between the two male leads was so cute and tender, I definitely would love another season, but at the same time the ending was actually perfect.

This series is a hidden gem :worship2:

I didn't know there was a thread for this!

I watched it a few weeks ago and found it so satisfying to watch :heart2: Sooo lovely and well done.

The 3 leads did a really good job, but the one who portrays Niko stole the show for me, what a star :smitten:

We need a 2nd season!
