I was gonna go cuz I love San Salvador and it’s one of my favorite Latin American cities (especially now that it’s safe under Bukele) I couldn’t take off from work but I’ll be perched watching. I’m not sure who I’m rooting for but I would love if Thailand or the Philippines win because they fans go crazy when they win like they won the World Cup lol

Americas: Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Chile, Peru, Argentina keeping my eye on Brazil and USA. Europe: Spain, France, Slovakia, Portugal keeping my eye on Albania, Poland, Iceland and Switzerland. Africa: Cameroon keeping my eye on South Africa, Equatorial Guinea and Zimbabwe. Asia & Pacific: Thailand, India, Australia, Lebanon, Japan keeping my eye on Bahrain and Philippines. Overall I think that Americas are the strongest this year and location seems to be in their favor - I see repeat of 2020 edition where more than half of semifinalists were from Americas. From the countries with "sash factor" I don't like Indonesia and Vietnam Venezuela is meh but if she's gonna be in TOP 20/16/21 I won't complain. Edited November 7, 2023 by davidson
