My grandfather would beat us if we flushed the toilet for any reason other than doing a medium sized #2 so I rarely flush to this day.  Every time he peed I used to wish toilet water splashed into his eye and gave him ebola.

I’m surprised at how many people voted for ‘No’ - what reason do you have to leave the lid open, other than being a lazy heaux?

Flushing with the lid closed is obviously recommended but remember, all the poop particles go on the lid SO that means that the lid will touch the toilets seat which you have to sit on.

So...if you aren't cleaning your toilet seat everyday, I'd say flushing with the lid open is the best way to go. Yes poop particles do go everywhere but MUCH less on the lid/toilet seat

Regardless, you should be putting your toothbrush far away from the toilet & facing the other way (thank god I have a big cubicle lol)

Also nothing is worse than getting some flushed water on your toilet lid tbh :gaycatx:

Closed lid. Mine is self-closing so it doesn’t take much effort. Then I spray with a strong odour neutraliser so it smells like nothing after a minute :camping:

Obviously. It's no secret what happens if you flush with the lid up... :biblio:

Yeah that is why I usually put these stuff, I don't know how they're called in english, but they are basically like sanitizing soaps that clean everytime you flush the water:

Well they keeps the bowl clean but won't stop the excess waste entering the air from flushing pressure.

OT. I keep mine closed or as someone said my cat will jump in. And I keep it super clean so I don't want her exposed to cleaning chems or something.

Yes, I get so grossed out at the idea of the water splashing out and germs going everywhere
