I have such high hopes for this new era. Really feels like this next album will be a return to form and a proper follow-up to 21st Century Breakdown.

This sounds promising! The only post-American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown album I kinda liked was... Uno. :toofunny2:

No, we need more of this from our popular artists. I will always be a Green Day fan for this reason. They aren't afraid to look the problem head-on and call it out.

Same. It really has been downhill since the Trilogy. There’s a handful of “decent” tracks from Uno, Tre and RevRad, but even then by Green Day standards they’re considered mediocre. Dos and their last album FOAM were just all around embarrassments.

I really hope 21st Century Breakdown era Green Day have risen and are coming for blood 🤞

I'm still baffled the trilogy actually... happened. Like, what was the point? If you took the best from all three albums, you'd actually end up with a really solid final product. Sure, a good 50 to 60 % would be from Uno, but who cares? Instead we got three separate albums that nobody actually manages to listen to all the way through. :rip:

But ultimately I'm just glad the trilogy gave us Stay The Night, that one actually became one of my favourite Green Day songs of all time.

Bye. Nobody is asking you to stay.

I’ll take six more albums of this.

I love Stay The Night and Brutal Love is a career highlight. Those songs were amazing to hear live too. There’s a handful of gems on the Trilogy, unfortunately they were outnumbered by all of the b-sided, album filler clutter.

That song is a bop. Green Day solid as always.

Their best lead since Know Your Enemy. Feels like they’ve finally found their sound again after losing it for a decade.

album “Saviors” is out January 19th!
