Wait so tomorrow we'll have a new round but the reviews of the second round isn't out yet? I'm confused will they come later

Rounds and judging overlap so the game can be kept on a weekly schedule, otherwise things will run over and the game will take longer and won’t fit a set timescale. This way the writers get enough time to write a song they are happy with, but judges also get enough time to read the songs properly and provide their feedback rather than having to rush. The new rounds are posted every Saturday, and reviews and results for the prior round can be expected over the weekend too.

as @fountain mentioned, we post new rounds a bit early to give you guys extra time to write. so R3 will likely be posted before R2 reviews and definitely before results

Ahead of Round 2’s reviews being shared and Round 3 beginning, it is with sincere disappointment that we must make this unfortunate announcement.

 

The judges of Golden Hit have recently become aware of a concerning issue within the competition – the submission of song lyrics generated by artificial intelligence. While AI technology has undoubtedly enhanced the creative process, allowing the creation of striking cover art and other supporting materials, using AI-generated lyrics in a songwriting competition raises ethical concerns and creates an uneven playing field. It undermines the essence of human creativity and the spirit of authentic artistic expression that the tournament aims to celebrate.

 

To be clear, we view the use of AI-generated lyrics as equivalent to plagiarizing material, and as always, we allow only self-written lyrics to be submitted in this tournament. To maintain the integrity of the competition and ensure a level playing field for all participants, we may decide to implement AI content detectors to screen song lyric submissions if deemed necessary. This measure will help identify AI-generated content and preserve the authenticity of the competition, fostering an environment where songwriters can compete on a fair basis and showcase their genuine artistic talents.

 

We do not wish to call anyone out specifically, and will not tolerate speculation in the thread. If this message does not apply to you, please continue to write original songs and submit as usual. However, if this message does apply to you, consider this a third and final chance to show us what you are truly capable of. Thank you.

There have been two rounds; this forthcoming challenge will be a third and final chance for the writer(s) in question to prove their worth. If any AI generated song lyrics are submitted from this coming round onward, disqualifications will be implemented. This is especially disappointing because Golden Hit prides itself on letting anyone participate in any challenge at any point in the season's journey until its finale. We've never had to implement a disqualification before, and would like to avoid doing so if at all possible. We are providing an opportunity to change.
