It's giving their debut vibes more than Hook Me Up tbh.

You better not

I haven't listened to it yet but no way it's better than in my blood

Wouldn't place it above You Ruin Me and In My Blood but it's definitely better than all of Human and most of GODZILLA.

I think I'll need more time with this. I love hearing this sound from them again, though. :clap3:

Mothers are back :jonnycat:

I like the instrumental, very debut era. Not sure how I feel about the lyrics, considering they're nearly 40 the theme feels more appropriate for their first two albums.

I just realised the melody reminds me of Poppy's Lowlife.

Music video later :jonny5:

That sounds actually amazing! I'm so excited for the album now :jonnycat:

I really enjoyed this, a cute Pop/Rock bop which is true to their brand. Going into a new The Veronicas era is always rocky given their label dramas and the messy rollout with their last 2x dual albums which had some highlights but sounded quite dated by the end of it.

I'm confident this will be their best rollout in a long time and I'm sure they are feeling the same way with the new label also.

Not had the chance to listen yet but the reactions here and saying it's pop/rock :jonny5:

Love that sound from them

I loved it! This kind of sound suits them very much

Good to see them being back in their original vibe, but lyrically it's a bit corny.

Really liking this one :jamming: Looking forward to the album!

I really wanted to love this but it just sounds so compressed if that makes sense? Like even Silent from Godzilla (which Barker and Feldmann worked on) sounds fuller and more raw. I had concerns about them working with Feldmann considering I'm not a fan of his work and this song kind of embodies why.

Not trying to be negative, I've loved The Veronicas for most of my life and will always purchase and support! And it's not like I hate the song by any means, I'm just hoping the soundscape and production for Gothic Summer is a little more diverse.

This is pretty good, their style suit this rockier sound way better than whatever they were doing. Proper return to form.

The mix is pretty bad and weird, why are their vocals so compressed and buried behind the instrumental, especially in the chorus :deadbanana2:

Love the video though

This has ended up being my favourite song by them after life of the party this era is so promising

Can't stop playing it :jamming:
