You know I initially disliked that and recently rewatched it and was like… this lowkey is better than majority of all the Friday the 13th movies. It’s really good. I lied to myself for several years that I loved the nightmare remake but I’ve come to my senses now 1

John Slayne Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Jason is bigger and better! Freddy is too corny and relies on cheap gimmicks. Jason's story is better too 1 1

Kruger mentally and psychologically torments his victims and allows them to suffer before killing them, if they don’t take their own life beforehand. There’s actual nuance to this legend. Alaska. Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Jason seems to be more mentioned in pop culture and he's scarier looking. Freddy has 2 great horror movies (1 and 3) while the Friday the 13th only have good ones at best 1

The Nightmare on Elm Street from 2010 is one of the worst Movies I’ve ever seen. OT: voted for Freddy first 2 and Jason on the 3rd 1
Daddy Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Freddie is known and beloved. Jason is just...there. A poor mans Michael Meyers. 2

Gladiator Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Freddy for all. Way more scary and cooler story, with better movies.
Raphy23 Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Freddy comes off as a joke to me. Reminds me of Jim Carey in The Mask. So not scary at all. 1
DamianSolo Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 Freddy is scarier and has better movies, but Jason is more iconic—from his mask and theme alone. Freddy isn't as instantly recognizable as Jason is.
poltergeist Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 king Freddy is the whole package. He's got the personality, the soundtrack, the easily recognizable outfit AND weapon, and he's still inspiring new killers to this day 36 years after his first hit. I mean Vecna wouldn't exist without Freddy
