I think Lindsay and Tom prob just had talks but couldn't commit cuz Deadline also confirmed filming starts next month so there were prob scheduling conflicts (since Lindsay starts shooting Freaky Friday 2 in a few weeks and Tom also had something announced recently)

Would be such a shame if Lindsay missed out on this opportunity but regardless, I'm so happy studios/streaming services are considering her again and no doubt she'll be considered for big Netflix projects after the success of her partnership so far. She also has Freaky Friday 2 up her sleeve which I think would be bigger for her, because she's at the forefront and nostalgia is huge.

Yeah but even the second one which had the weakest cast of the 3 got a bunch of major award nominations, Oscars included.

 

She definitely fumbled the bag if she passed on this for fuckass Freaky Friday sequel ☠️ 

Lindsay aside, I will be sad if that rumour turns out to be false because Tom Hardy would be perfect for this.
