Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 And this too?! BP move to Columbia please lord be real
KatyPrismSpirit Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 i think LALISA is the only one that i see be a big star from the group individually but none of them have IT to really make waves in the West like a Jung Kook does for example. Their music is still very SEA / EA market material. Dont hit in the US or Europe. 1 2

She did that while being mismanaged like hell. With Jung Kook level payola she‘d END careers 5

She's not an Ariana or Mariah def but she has a very palatable yet also distinctive vocal color, the next Duallah! 1 1
KatyPrismSpirit Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 LISA is kinda like the Korean Iggy Azalea lets be real. She does not have the vocals of a Rihanna but she can definitely make catchy pop rap crossover hits by incorporating hiphop sounds. This sound is kinda dated in the US tho. 1 1

They should just give her straight up pop bops. Her own LOUD 1
Adama Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 Rosé shouldn’t leave Kpop for the west. SK is her biggest market for a reason. 2
Taylena Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 This is all very confusing because there were rumors that she resigned with YG. Also why would they move from Universal Music label to a Sony Music label? Is this Columbia Records even good?

They are good at pumping out global hits (As It Was, Easy On Me, Flowers) but kinda fall short on a longlasting promotional run for the albums)

I mean even jungkook is not really doing much in the west, fact is no kpop soloist will really do crazy like album/digital sales in the west but singing with A American label vs Korean wouldn't make much difference.

Yeah at this point she's probably going to coast off of big celebrity power globally and middling music career. Most of them'll probably have a Selena-esque career anyways. Lisa's the only one with actual MPG potential. 1

Touring wise ofc since it’s bigger but in term of charting? Most of her physicals sales came from China and SK? She have more chance to get a #1 in SK even with an English song than reaching the top 50 in the hot 100 even with a big roll out (that she got with OTG). 1
