Sleighbiatch Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I have a feeling she will surprise us and do over 200k.

xtina1 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 So the sales are still being counted (69%) but WOW at the gap between one and two!! 131K TO 23K! The music industry is dead. Hoping Katheryn passes 200k!!
LoveLiveMusic Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 They can lower her numbers but as long as they don't lower her to #2 somehow we'll live. But lbr, this will come back to haunt her when the 'She only debuted at ___k WITH a tour bundle.'

Deserves so much better tbh. But yeah, everyone trashing the tour bundles need to let it go. She is really smart for doing that in the current sales climate and you should wish y'all's faves do that too. Billboard is counting it anyways so if anyone is gonna be stuck saying "how much would it have done without it tho?" , then good luck lmfao.

It's like both fan bases are arguing over who's the bigger flop with both underperformed.

My point was that though it was a big achievement, she was front-loaded and in the end she ended up selling 50% of her total sales during the first week. I compared it to Teenage Dream because those albums came out around the same time and Katy debuted with MUCH LESS units sold yet it outsold it in the long run. I mentioned Katy's consistency because her first week sales have never been huge, even with TD having two hits at the time, it didn't even move 200K; she's doing similar numbers in a MUCH WORSE sales climate and with no hits under her belt. For me, that's consistency. Btw sold 2 million world wide and ended with 7 million to date so far..... if u mean U.S BTW was around 2.3-2.4 million it sold 1.1 million week 1..... which is not 50 percent..... and it it doesn't matter how consistent katy is, when TF alone has sold almost as much of Katy's entire album career sales world wide

Not in 2016, not in 2017. Not a smash either. Witness is not doing good numbers, not seeing it crossing 300k+ in pure sales and 600k+ sps. At least not now.

Katy isn't doing well, but lets not act like Joanne's numbers were out of this world Besides this is only the FIRST week. She can still have some longevity depending on her next few singles

Why get the album uploaded in Vevo, getting millions of views when it doesn't count for SPS? The album tracks have 10m+ streams on youtube. And that's not counting the singles. yt allows people to hear the songs, for free, worldwide, as much as they want it won't bring money but it's very smart imo
