Do we have an idea of her pure sales -without ticket bundle- ? It is a bit weak considering how huge she was last era

probably 30k :ahh:

lol this is already #6 on itunes behind Ed Sheeran's album lmao. 165 my ass. lol her fans are being forced to defend her fraud.

These are not good numbers for someone of Katy's visibility---she should be pulling 250k numbers IMO, but her music has got to diversify and mature a bit

This is rough. :skull: #6 on iTunes before the first tracking week is over? She must be doing close to SZA numbers...

I was starting to stan before the album came out. I never imagined those 3 singles would be the high points of the album for me. :'(

It's still a #1 album and she succeeded in getting her name back out there, now she just needs to play the rest of the era right with singles and she's fine. Plus the Calvin Harris track might be a hit, which could also put her back in favor with radio.

Why are monsters always jumping the gun on anything Katy related and when she ends up succeeding in the end, you guys back peddle and act like you never posted things like this. Wait until the era is over to drag. The first week isn't even over and you're talking about total album sales as if you've seen the future :deadbanana3:

Less than Joanne numbers with 3 dance tracks released and ALL feature rappers. Less than the "country" album that not many little monsters even liked when she has a TOUR BUNDLE. This is really really really bad.

Only in a music board people actually think one would feel embarrassed about something. I was just stating my opinion. Good day. :)

Yeah, cause you never made a valid argument. Good day, BISH :)

Doesn't make it any less of a gimmick

They're driven by different factors though. BTW had that deal because of huge demand, Witness's tour bundling is the opposite. :) Besides, what rational person would say NO to the Amazon deal? :) It's basically easy money.

So so happy for SZA :'(

for years urban acts/black artists were getting sidelined on the charts because their core fanbase pirated instead of buying

with streaming we are seeing the REAL popularity of urban music. if these other acts were big with young people/the streaming audience they'd have high SPS too :sorry:

You get it

Spill!

People have always been perched for Katy on ATRL, I remember how many people were in her album thread any time we thought it would leak as well as the base thread.  They sit and wait for her to fail and when she does or looks like she might they all line up and quote the same tired shady post.  It's always the same people.  The worst part about it is, that even some of the moderators have shaded her or turn a blind eye and this has been happening for years.  It's pathetic really.

Ultimately, Katy is doing what she wants as an artist and do to her massive success in the past, has such high standards that we wouldn't expect of a lot of artists.  Think of someone like Carly Rae Jepsen who I live for- she really only had a huge smash with CMM but other than that she has never been a big pop star.  She puts out what she wants as an artist whether it sells or not, and actually her fanbase is more refreshing and less negative because of it.  I also can't with the monsters still bashing Katy.  Are we in 2010 still? MOVE ON.

You can't be serious, are you ?

I mean, even... I don't know... 130k would be considered as tragic for her.

She's doing less than 100k in pure sales during her opening week ? That's weird ! Her decline is huge if it is real.

Why do you need to compare with JOANNE?

Joanne pulled amazing number. Selling less doesn't make Witness "really really really" bad

Omg it's #6 and SZA is still #2. Dear God.

sis it's really bad CONSIDERING that Witness had a top 5 hit, 2 successful music videos (1 viral), having her entire album on YouTube, all the promo she did and coming off of an era like Prism is extremely worrying...while Joanne is country-ish and no promo basically + Gaga didn't have sucessfull era before Joanne

You make it sound too easy gurl. If there's a song left in the album that can smash don't you think they had pre released that already? And Calvin is not going for the trendy commercial sound this time, it'd be a Super minor hit at the very best though I'm a huge fan of his funky stuffs lately, I don't think it will smash. The only hope left for Katy is her tour, and if it can be as huge as Prismatic tour, she should be ok cos that's where the money comes from.

The only funny part is that even with such slimy deals poor Katy coudnt beat Joanne - a country album with no "hip" collaborations and no major promo

you gotta be so deluded to think Joanne didnt have any major promo :rip::skull:

Looking at Spotify streams I'm like 90% sure that SZA is outstreaming Katy this week in America :deadbanana2:

Suddenly a major pop girl doing less than 200k and free falling on iTunes is "not bad".

So why were you dragging Joanne's first week numbers?
