also let me add how sad it is that some of these awful rap albums are making the top 10/20 with 1-2k sales simply bc they have one single that's big on streaming :deadbanana2: it's really taking away from non-urban acts (Rise Against for example would be debuting #3 or 4)

for years urban acts/black artists were getting sidelined on the charts because their core fanbase pirated instead of buying

with streaming we are seeing the REAL popularity of urban music. if these other acts were big with young people/the streaming audience they'd have high SPS too :sorry:

not less than Joanne :deadbanana3:

Also I don't get the dragging of Katheryn. Yes it tells me Capitol wasted hella dollars on streaming promotion, but I'd rather have the bulk of my numbers come from genuine sales.

This is WITH the bundle? how would she have done without it? :hoetenks:

Is this with or without the tour bundle?

10. A Seat At The Table - 26k

11. SweetSexySavage - 26k
12. 7/27 - 25k

She has 28 million Spotify listeners rn, the SPS CAN'T be only 30k. Do YT videos count as streams? Her Bon Appetit video has like 3 million daily.

Didn't Gaga do 170k pure? She's projected to do the same ballpark

& before you mention the ticket bundle Gaga/ her team also had her album selling for like 4.99 release week. Both ladies had tactics in place to boost their sales.

So really what's there to drag. Now her streams are a different story...

most people only use albums for singles, bought/streamed/otherwise. you will have to deal with it :sorry:

These are really bad numbers factoring in the tour bundle and massive promotion.

We BEEN through that she doesn't have an album launching smash this time around, let's not act brand new. Anything even remotely close to 200k is respectable in this day and age.

As for SPS, I'm not too surprised at 20k, although I expected 25ish. Since she doesn't have a hit, she lacks individual track sales. I'm also assuming her Apple Music promo isn't exactly lucrative given that she has a deal with their rival

I mean they're good numbers, but why are y'all acting like these are final numbers. These are based on a day :deadbanana:

I tried to warn y'all: be Humble. (out out on iTunes now)

This is lowkey tragic for katy. Its a shame cause the album is really good. Easily her best effort. What makes it even worse is the "karmas not a liar" line. Guess it is katy.:dancehall2: I still love katy and this album is really good.

If this album debuts with less than the album from the "fad" despite having the tour bundle and livestreaming her life 24/7 :lmao:

the Amazon discount was only for people with $50 membership, something like that.

the only "tactics" she did was from her doing Carpool & SNL, which many singers has done during their release week  :cm:
