All of these pressed ones mentioning "BUNDLE!!!!!111" as an excuse are making me barf lol.....I mean it could be understandable if it was cheating with a thousand discounts but the people are buying the 50x more expensive tickets and then get to listen to the album if they redeem it. I am really proud of Katy for thinking of such a tactic in current sales climate, which is still better than thousands of discounts. Stay oppressed while she's getting that dough, I guess :fan:

The way some people are PERCHEDT in here waiting if they'll release the sales without the bundles :toofunny3:

Surely this can't be including the tour bundle, because the tour bundle is for physical copies, and she's #2 behind LA there still? She's selling approx. 170k from the tour bundle according to my calculations, LA aren't even expected to reach 50k SPS. Her US digital sales must be picking up, as well as the traditional pure album sales (she was #9 on yesterday's chart, #2 today).

Streaming is still tragic. She would be #1 on there if YouTube was included, she's never been a huge Spotify force and CTTR (her biggest Spotify hit this era) peaked back in Feb/March...

no. tour bundle has both digital and physical.

and people prefer digital albums.

IF ONLY she had not uploaded the whole album on YouTube, her Spotify streams could have been better? This dumb bitch :biblio:

People who purchased expensive tickets to see her (up to $200 US) would obviously buy her $12 album. They chose to redeem the code to get the album AFTER they bought tickets, so they were definitely interested in the album.

People trying the most here.

They are PERCHED here more than the Kats so she is obviously doing something good. We stan for a BUSINESSWOMAN ladies!

Katy pulled through

These are great numbers for her.

The tour bundle helps because its like they are forcing the CD on you when you purchase a concert ticket and thereby getting a CD sale where there could have likely been none.  You can listen to a CD for free without buying it.  A concert you cannot watch that for free.  Any artist bundling a tour especially a huge touring artist would see at least double the numbers had they not bundled.  So if an artist is fearful if their numbers bundling is a good way to not to look as embarrassed because the only people who would know are those who watch the charts.

Down to #4 on itunes, i hope the prediction stays as it is tho.

The ticket bundle really helped her a LOT to avoid a bad debut.

No, it's optional. You can redeem a copy or not.

Well very few people are not going to redeem a freebie.  I would not mind getting a $10-$15 free gift.  Either way it only helps get more album sales.  I wonder why more artist don't do it.  Perhaps saving it for when they feel they are going to under perform.  Its a good weapon to have but not one to brag about.

Can y'all just get over it. If people are willing to pay $100+ for some tour tickets, stop acting as if you know for sure they wouldn't have purchased a $10 album. It's stupid logic. So, they were potentially going to buy the album OR stream it. And people who go to concerts without knowing any of the music are the worse. What's the point?

No because people want to "drag" as revenge etc. Why? Because this is ATRL!

They act like Katy is peddling her music via Pizza Hut or Dominoes. Like, its all related. Go to a Katy Perry concert, listen to a Katy Perry album. It's all relative. We've seen pop girls sell their **** in random ways that's just unfathomable. :deadbanana: If your fave ever sold her album for less than anything you can buy at Dollar General, hush.

It's not. Cause they stan for the Queen of pop, who did the same thing. Wasn't Taylor sending her album out with peperroni pizzas? At one point I could buy a Rihanna and Gaga album for the same price as a McDouble. People need to just cut it the hell out.

Not only that. Taylor sold RED through Papa Johns :jonny: So I don't see the problem with a Tour Bundle. This is just another way of selling the album. Prince did it back in the day as well.

Red?  But what about 1989.  Anyway Taylor's music wherever it's sold at is sold as stand alone full price.  If pappa johns carried it, it's because they knew it would sale.  I doubt they were giving it away with the purchase of a pizza.

BTW, there are breakdowns of where reds sales came from.  The bulk came from iTunes and target.  Only 40k of the million came from other retailers.

Just checked.  Papa John's only sold 8,000 copies of that 1.2 million.
