Joint Chiefs of Staff "North Korea prepares for the possibility of a surprise attack using Hamas-style tactics"

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Ho-jun and Park Soo-yoon = On the 10th, the Joint Chiefs of Staff reported to the National Defense Committee of the National Assembly that North Korea is preparing for the possibility of launching a surprise attack using the same tactics as Hamas' attack on Israel.

After analyzing Hamas' attacks on Israel using rockets, guerrilla units, trucks and motorcycles, Director Kang said, "Based on the initial assessment, Hamas' surprise operation was successful." “The defensive effect of ‘Dome’ (rocket defense system) was minimal,” he analyzed.

In relation to this, Director Kang cited

  • surprise attack using Hamas-style tactics
  • diversification of attack methods such as civilian equipment
  • attack utilizing vulnerabilities in advanced defense systems
  • psychological warfare using domestic SNS as expected scenarios that North Korea could use in this regard.

He predicted that North Korea could occupy the border area and secure hostages to escalate tensions and induce negotiations.

In addition, it is expected that surveillance systems can be evaded by mobilizing civilian equipment, and in particular, information surveillance satellites can be attempted using underground facilities or civilian equipment.

Though we should take all threats seriously and take proper precautions, North Korean propaganda does this all the time, “leaking” to South Korean intel to piggy back on current headlines as if these atrocities were some sort of relevancy contest. Disgusting—freedom to all oppressed people everywhere :ace:

The vast majority of users on this site (as well as most sensible, compassionate, NORMAL people) are actively condemning Hamas… they are a terrorist organisation.

OT: If NK dares try anything they’ll be absolutely annihilated… let’s hope this never actually materialises.

Wouldn’t be surprising at all to see another country backed and propped up by China start a foreign invasion. That Iran-Russia-China trio is really just spreading peace all over

Of course they are.

And I had a whole paragraph about how people are rightfully upset about the hypocrisy on display but I didn’t want it to snowball.

...with what money and army? Honestly, if they tried to do anything, they're toast. Nobody is going to come to the DPRK's rescue with the rest of the world and its resources tied up in other major crises.

Are those plans in the same room as the nuclear weapons that don’t exist?

All threats should be taken seriously, especially of this nature, but I find it really difficult to take North Korea seriously. Whatever equipment they may even have is probably just made of tin.

Palestine is not the same as North Korea. Apples and oranges. If anything the North Koreans need to be liberated from

North Korea.

But what would they gain? Russian oligarchs money all tied up in the global market I see them offing Putin before they let him mess up their bag anymore. I’m sure they’re already irritated over Ukraine, and Iran ain’t sh1t. Maybe china would rise but Russia and Iran would lose majorly.

Nobody cares about the oligarchs. Most of them were made by Putin and they have no power whatsoever. Some of them also have a tendecy to be careless around open windows.

Russia, China and Iran are new **** trifecta. They have some allies all around the world like some african countries, North Korea or even countries like Serbia, countries in South or Latin American, too. Their jobs are to discract with other conflicts and to cause as much damage and destabilization as possible. The actual goals are to revive the former UdSSR and control basically Europe entirely, Taiwan and turning southeast Asia into more or less China puppuet states or in the case of Taiwan, re-integrate into China and the destruction of Israel.

We have seen the recent events in Kosovo, now Israel. It's very possible that South Korea is next.
