computer.boy Posted January 3 Posted January 3 “Cry On The Dancefloor” is the gayest anthem I've ever recorded. It is a representation of that grieving moment when you decide I’ve moped in doors too long, I’m going out and I might go out on my own or I might end up on my own on the club dancefloor just crying with the lights on me and no one can see I’m crying and that’s what it’s about. It’s more acceptable to just be on your own dancing and enjoying the music. — Paloma via Gay Times.
Saint James Posted January 3 Posted January 3 off topic but i just found out this is Paloma. i seriously thought this was a Hannah Montana song i dont think ive heard the original as it sounds much older
sam.teas Posted January 5 Posted January 5 they recently added the animated cover art on apple music OT: this thread deserves more attention. please, stream the singles! they’re gems! 1
Vicki Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Both singles are pop perfection indeed and this next single sounds like another collapse so my expectations are definitely high, but I have no doubt that she will deliver 1
PerfectContradiction Posted January 7 Posted January 7 "My Inner Bully" written by: Paloma Faith, Francis Anthony White. "My Babies And Me" written by: Paloma Faith, Savannah Jada Ivey, Liam Bailey, Tyler Daley, Konny Kon. "No Strange To Lonely" written by: Paloma Faith, Francis Anthony White. They aren't on the tracklist so I don't understand why they were recently registered?

sam.teas Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) Comments on the songs from the album (I'll update it every time is needed): Sweatpants - is a song about when you're in a relationship and there are worries about showing the true yourself to someone that loves you (Paloma via Instagram Reels); Pressure (feat. Kojey Radical) - the pressure that Paloma feels and felt in the relationship related to the capacity\incapacity of hold everything together (Paloma via Instagram Reels). 'Pressure' was a chorus originally sent to me by Liam Bailey through his friendship with Chase and Status. We then wrote verses with Gez O’Connell who was the original writer on the track and eventually arrived at this haunting subby place which I was hypnotised by. I had always hoped to collaborate with Kojey because I consider him to be one of the most exceptionally talented artists in the UK, and I’m a big fan of his work. This was a perfect pairing. I’m delighted with the result. Paloma is one of the best truly fearless creatives this country has and it was an honour to be able join such a real and vulnerable record. I just hope i did it justice (via Mixtape Madness); God In a Dress - it's about an empowered feeling, it's all about saying "we're powerful and strong" (Paloma via Instagram Reels) How You Leave a Man - is about finding the confidence to walk away from a relationship and being empowered with your own happiness; There's Nothing More Human Than Failure (Interlude) - Bad Woman - delves into the myriad societal challenges women confront, […] my hope is that women embrace their authenticity, feel comfortable in their own skin, and understand that imperfection is a part of being human. Let’s free ourselves from the societal pressures that label us and encourage each other to stay true to our authentic selves. […] [It is] a personal standout on the new record (Paloma via Official Charts); Cry On the Dance Floor - is the gayest anthem I've ever recorded. It is a representation of that grieving moment when you decide I’ve moped in doors too long, I’m going out and I might go out on my own or I might end up on my own on the club dancefloor just crying with the lights on me and no one can see I’m crying and that’s what it’s about. It’s more acceptable to just be on your own dancing and enjoying the music (Paloma via Gay Times); Say My Name - Let It Ride - The Big Bang Ending (Interlude) - Eat Sh*t and Die - Divorce - There’s one song in the album that is also the most tragic about my relationship breakdown called ‘Divorce’ which came about just from having a conversation and saying exactly how I felt. Then, we just put those exact feelings into a song which is rare rather than thinking about what’s catchy or whatever. But I think with that one, where I’ve got this executive producer credit really makes that song and brings it to life. The fact that I’m singing it in a very different way. I’m talking and it’s not a put on singer’s voice, it’s a very genuine delivery. Then on top of that, I’ve also recorded my actual children playing in the background on the song which makes it even more emotional. I cannot listen to it! In the soundscape it’s me saying how sad it is that I’m not with their dad anymore. So that was difficult. I don’t know if I can ever play it live because it’s ******* exhausting (Paloma via clashmusic); Hate When You're Happy - Enjoy Yourself - I Am Enough - Mirror to Mirror (Interlude) - Already Broken - Edited January 29 by sam.teas
