Low-key screaming at this being announced as breaking news in a war zone.

This news comes after a man was arrested for planning to kidnap and murder Holly.

Holly has been involved in a lot of controversy the past year.

Good riddance. Phil and Holly were always such an insufferable, vapid duo. No idea how anyone ever liked them

I called this weeks ago, I said something awful would happen where she would be the victim, (was thinking a divorce or some sob story about thyroid - choosing one of the many incels that trolls her to go to a trial that’ll equate to nothing is pretty inventive mind) the. she’d disappear from itvs strict advertising regulations, do a load of sponsored posts and launch a “comeback” late 24 with an in-depth interview about her trauma and addressing that “Phill” question for the first time. I've seen this kind of comment being posted around a lot in the last week and I have to laugh that you actually think the Met Police would go along with a PR campaign for Holly Willoughby :deadbanana2: Literally serving Trump supporter/QAnon levels of delusion

They were “alerted” to some dodgy tweets, let’s wait and see what evidence is presented, and let’s see how long he’s been @‘ing her without any form of intervention. Don’t support trump nor am I into qanon in the slightest, but theres been rumours about this woman and her reputation since her breast “fell” out on Saturday morning kids tv. She’s as legitimate as a chocolate coin.

Erm no, they have charged him with legitimately conspiring to kidnap and murder her and even arranging for someone to fly over from the US to carry it out, so I'm not sure why you are minimising it down to just some "dodgy tweets" :deadbanana4:

Yes and Holly was best friends with him and dropped him like a brick in the ocean.

There were so many calls for her to be axed too - multiple rumours she was unpleasant and knew about the situation.

He didn’t make official arrangements at all, he was seen asking about it on the internet just admit you buy into her and call it a day.

Before anyone else wants to @ me. Gavin Plumb, is. A sad, vulnerable father of two. He’s been working as a security guard recently having been on covid handouts before that after getting the sack from Pizza Hut. He lives in an area that is generally more expensive than the majority of the country. A hit man “could have” come “as early as next week” -I mean he could have come as late as a year tuesday - this isn’t confirmation that one was booked. Given his employment /finance situation, the likelihood of finding a hitman within budget is slim, never mind flying one over from the states, the fact that he was writing about it on social media would also make it quite difficult for anyone who would carry out a hit to trust or take seriously.

the way you're jumping through hoops to defend someone that was even joking about kidnapping and murdering someone because you dont like a talk show host's personality is wild, you actually sound crazy :deadbanana4:

She and Phil will be back together on something else in 2025. Most people don’t care about the scandals.

I haven’t defended him at all. I’ve painted an honest picture of a pitiful and despicable individual looking at the bare bones of the evidence once you strip off the sensationalised reporting. I don’t feel sorry for him, I don’t condone his behaviour. Not once have I made the insinuation that I do. I already said he was one of many men who spend a bizarre amount of time obsessing over this morning on X. Low and behold, since I last posted the same ITV insiders that were confirming the Phil story have confirmed that her “sudden departure” wasn’t all that much of a shock as it had been common knowledge for weeks that she was leaving.

This isn’t ground shaking info, while it would have been sudden to the audience I’m sure she didn’t just call up ITV one morning and say she wasn’t coming in, they would have known well in advance. I really don’t know much about her at all but you’re doing a bit too much on the supposed fake personality of a TV personality as if every entertainer doesn’t have a carefully curated personality and presentation

Jumping the Queen's queue cursed Holly and Phil. My god.

I think the fact you don’t know much about her or the show is the point. She’s curated a toxic culture for hundreds of individuals for years, whilst working with and enabling questionable individuals. All of this is done with the support and under the employment of a network who are still facing ongoing investigations of treatment of X factor contestants a decade ago (one recently spoke about the way they treated her after she was raped), have had a plethora of suicides from contestants and crew on one other show, had one of their daily shows pulled after a guest was driven to suicide, and then this show which very recently covered up inappropriate sexual coercion and workplace harassment, they also faced investigation due to their public racial incited harassment of Meghan Markle. These are not the only examples in the last five years of mistreatment- merely the clipped highlights. I’m just very consciously aware of the part this woman has played , the way she very publicly washed her hands, denied all knowledge (yet the day to day people that work with her or meet her irl usually report feeling belittled if recognised at all) and the way she’ll be excused merely because she’s pretty.

It's actually hilarious how you think you know more about this situation than the Met and their investigation :toofunny3: No offence, but your intense dislike for Holly Willoughby is clearly clouding your judgement, and you sound kinda unhinged.

It's not that I "buy into" anyone, I'm just not deluded :toofunny3:

We do know this about the investigation, copies of his posts have been doing the rounds on Facebook and forums for days. The met police themselves said he “could have had a hitman here in days” not that he had one coming. The details of this will be highly publicised so bookmark me and see if the details aren’t pretty much as I described. I don’t doubt he poses a threat to women, but the details of this aren’t as iPlayer drama as people are making out. It’s glamorised and sensationalised. It’s a sad, greasy little man who spends the majority of his time online being angry at the world, there are dozens of them and any other woman who had some of this abuse wouldn’t have received the same police guard that Holly did, and I can also guarantee there are other women, who reported this behaviour from him before and didn’t receive any support (it’s the met after all) , the court case might disclose that if it poses relevance so again let’s wait and see.
