As I said in the other thread, celebrities should stop making statements out of ignorance. It's so easy to say you're against war, all for peace and such things, like duh?

 

It's better to just stay silent, using your platform for things that matter is important but when you don't even know the whole history it makes everything pointless. Celebrities are extremely ignorant so these actions do more harm than good even if their intentions may be good sometimes. Plus everything gets just turned into a stan thing which is terrible.

What Hamas did was horrible beyond eyes, there are also thousands of Palestinians that were murdered and in addition to that they live under terrible conditions there. (which are about to get worse since Israel is cutting off supplies now)

Madonna is well informed on the conflict and is using her voice for good, I’m glad to see.
 

It’s just as easy to show support for innocent Israelis that are suffering without supporting the Israeli government as it is to show support for Palestinians that are suffering without supporting Hamas.

I thought she was smarter than this. She has addressed the situation many times before, she had a charity organization in Gaza, she has shown support for Palestine, and even posted #FreePalestine on her socials. The stories below are from 2020.

 

 

Then it went *crickets* after May 2021’s events when we needed her support and platform the most because she was obviously thinking about its impact on her career. Especially since her vile manager is a zionist himself.

 

And now she turns around and posts dumb **** like this I know that deep down she still supports Palestine but showing support to Israel = supporting apartheid and occupation and no amount of mental gymnastics will ever change this.

 

You can express your sympathy for the innocent civilians being killed and children being murdered without voicing your support for Israel, or at least acknowledge what led to yesterday's events and the ongoing occupation.

 

I really wish she stayed silent instead.
