No straight man is seeing female singers bfr

So straight men wouldn’t go and see female fronted bands like Evanescence, The Pretty Reckless, Paramore and Halestorm? Sure, Jan!

Most straights aren't cavemen who only like beer, guns, football, and bacon. :rip:

That’s just not true. Artists / bands like Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, Evanescence, The Pretty Reckless, Paramore and Halestorm have a lot of straight men who listen to their music and rightfully so. In the alt/rock world there doesn’t seem to be a rampant wave of toxic masculinity. I’ve seen all of the bands I listed above multiple times and I can confirm there were a lot of men at every show. The bands I listed also perform at festivals where they’re outnumbered by male-fronted bands and they still get a great reaction from the crowds.

Evanescence performed at Download Festival this year and they had such a big turnout that people actually complained about the fact they weren’t on the main stage because of how busy the crowd was.

So no, I won’t accept that straight men don’t listen to / or see female fronted rock bands as I know from experience this isn’t true in the slightest.

What agenda? :rip:

All I said was, how would the woman in the video react if she saw a male grabbing a female singer inappropriately, then somebody replied to me saying straight males don’t see female singers live, so I replied with some female singers that straight men definitely see live. So?

I brought up female fronted ROCK bands so why are you even talking about female pop artists? And saying that no straight men listen to female pop artists just reeks of toxic masculinity and insecurity so maybe work on yourself before projecting onto others.

Do some of y’all actually interact with Str8 men? That’s really not true outside of maybe super gay leaning artists like Kim Petras or Carly Rae Jepsen

What is a super gay leaning artist even? How can you say something so rude like that?

An artist whose targeted demographic is gay people? i.e Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster. How is that rude? It's a literal fact. For example, you wouldn't call Rihanna a gay leaning artist, she has more of a universal appeal. Whilst artists like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga's earlier music, Lil Nas X, Kylie Minogue are gay leaning artists i.e their targeted demographic is mostly gay people. That doesnt mean straight people wont or dont listen to them, but the majority of their fan base/demographic is gay people.

How can you cater gay people?? The ****… what does that even mean? This post is super toxic masculine and shows that we will never agree

you are literally separating straights from what you call ‘gays’, and how dare you. That was exactly my point. So thanks for helping me. You literally prove what I just said

You: Str8 men don’t like pop music

Also you: How can you imply pop music targets gay men??

How? I'm not saying that music catered to straight people is 'superior' :rip: But it's a fact that certain music has more 'gay appeal', specifically Pop. Yes, this is a stereotype and I am well aware of that. But it's a stereotype based on facts. Of course some one who is gay may not like Pop or 'music catered to gay people' just like a straight but can be into that.

Huh? How am I separating gays from straights? If I say football is catering more towards straight people, because that's the majority of the demographic, am I separating? No, it's literally just entertainment preferences.

I did this to a p*rn star once! He was visibly very upset! We were at a strip club and I was pretty drunk or high, I can't remember. I just know I wasn't sober. He was like a featured guy there that night at the club. He was so mad but I didn't get kicked out or anything probably because of the way I look tbh.

That's sexual assault right now, and if it were a man doing it to a woman, everyone would be calling for his ass to be thrown in jail. Sexual assault is sexual assault. Period. Point blank.

… if that was a man he’d have been arrested on the spot.
