wow this is... not good at all  she's very creatively uninspired and burnt out, and every second of this song proves that, Sam's drenched-in-melodyne vocals during the chorus make it even more of a pain to get through

Considering she's known of making music very quickly (her most acclaimed album was made in just a few weeks), it's more like the exact length of the song, 3 minutes.

 

I don't wanna hate Sam just for the sake it, but I just can't stand their voice. It may be suitable for ballads (even though I still dislike it) but for this kind of tracks is just unbearable. This could have been a cute but very un-inspired moment for her to probably grab a little hit before the new album without the feature.

 

Or she could have simply given this to Rita Ora like it sounds it was made for, and wait for the proper album rollout.

Speed Drive is a banger, it's undeniable. And this is probably the best track she's ever written.

 

 

I'm not worried about her music AT ALL, it's just that she's been catering to a more mainstream audience lately with CRASH and a few collabs/singles that are just NOT on the level she's capable of.
