If they have 4 more years this is progress that continue though. So it should be cheered on if we do want to see more progressive things like this. After 2024 anyway.

Nearly all of the student loans forgiven by the Biden Administration are ones that would have been forgiven already if the COVID repayment freeze time hadn't caused a miscalculation in time for those getting forgiven through public service and income driven repayment plans. All these are under existing law, nothing the Biden Administration had to do, but follow the law. The Administration hypes this up because they have come up with nothing else to help those who don't qualify for these forgiveness conditions. 2 1
