Is The Blob a perfect remake?

Kern

Accoring to those videos below, The Blob is the most underrated remake of all time.

Why? Is it because people have no taste and have no choice but to stan McDonalds of horror like GF?

What went right in the blob remake?

Watch the videos and answer.

yes Shawnee Smith yes success

one of the very few remakes (along with The Thing and The Ring) that improve on the original film in basically every sense. a camp classic I fear.

Genuine question; have you personally sat through either of them?

I fear the answer is probably a NO and if you watched it, your own question would be answered

The Slob remake is a commercial and critical failure. Nothing about it was good. Terrible acting, plot, and special effects. Maybe stick to a genuine classic like commercial and critical success A Nightmare on Elm Street. It is the franchise that gave us legends Johnny Depp and Patricia Arquette after all.

I've been thinking about it, if ghostface is the mcdonald's of horror, then the blob is the donald trump of horror

lost money so badly its impressive (bc donald trump managed to bankrupt a casino)

horrible ratings (speaks for itself)

and finally, because to be a fan of either in 2023 is an act of INSANITY.

Imagine Hollywood thinking it would be a good idea to remake a movie with a giant breast implant :deadbanana2:

I literally saw this a couple of days ago and I was blown away, totally went over my expectations !! Really good remake, great special effects (most of the time) and body horror :clap3:

I don't have to try. Underrated literally means doesn't get praise and popularity it deserves. We are small community but we are FIERCE

The fact that the Blob is so good that they didn’t have to do movie after movie to try to improve on the perfect movies that they are, ugh, an icon, a legend, a Blobbulin. :WAP:

YES. It is a shame some people cannot appreciate ART, which is what The Blob brings to the table.
