Attitude Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Meanwhile everything continues to get more and more expensive in this trash ass state.
VOSS Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Quote Beyond the debt, the Newsom administration has said the fund is not collecting enough money to pay all of the benefits owed. The money comes from a tax businesses must pay on each worker. But that tax only applies to the first $7,000 of workers’ wages, a figure that has not changed since 1984 and is the lowest amount allowed under federal law. It sounds like upping this tax is what the legislature needs to do first. Quote Under this legislation, private households would be required to provide eyewash stations if workers use bleach and could face fines up to $15,000 per safety violation. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Bears01 Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Loser. You’ll never be president Gavin, give it up 2
AMIT Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Weird, I was told that Democrats are ''the left'' of the US and thus had working class people's interests at the forefront when making political decisions. Why is a democrat governor from a blue state screwing over the workers as willy-nilly as this, especially if Democrats are supposed to be the complete opposite of the evil Republicans and thus nothing like them when it comes to workers' rights (and bsically everything else)?

California has more than enough taxes. I’d rather money go to providing actual public systems like public transport etc. Than people’s unemployment
Monster Megamind Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I agree with Newsom that they should only give unemployment benefits in a fiscally sound way. California is already facing head winds because of being anti business with people fleeing and reducing the tax base.
