I wonder about exactly how much prison time was appropriate for Gypsy. According to her own family, she exhibits sociopathic tendencies like her mother. If she's not giving proper care in the years to come, she could become and even more dangerous person. Her mother really did a number on her.

Edit: I watched Mommy Dead and Dearest, and it was a medical professional (as well as a journalist) who worry about Gypsy's potentially sociopathic tendencies.

That’s a great question, and I honestly don’t know. But I would guess that they wouldn’t trust anything Dee Dee had to say given how they feel abot her now.

From what I understand it’s been generally accepted by physicians as well that she displays some similar tendencies to her mother. BUT, I also believe that doesn’t mean with support and care those things can’t be rehabilitated as in her case they’re more likely learned traits than inherited ones.

Gypsy becoming a dangerous person sounds very unlikely to me, especially with all the baggage that she has. She has zero social skills and never got to be an adult on her own. That, plus unlike her mom all eyes are on her.

This. If any/all relevant behaviors are things she’s picked up from her mother and the abuse, then hopefully she will continue on a path that can help undo that.
