Bhabylon Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I hope they're focusing on quality and rethinking the McDonald's MCU formula, because the X-Men have a lot of potential. Better not become a meme'd mess 2

They are known and loved compared to Shang Chi, The Eternals, Antman and the rest. This is tea. As much as I love the first two, the GP simply doesn’t care about them the same way they care about, Spider-Man, The Avengers, and The X-Men. 1

glitch Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Let's hope they do it justice. I'm not holding my breath though.
Miles. Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 This is the only thing that could get me back into Superhero movies, but I'm still not holding my breath. If it's McDonald's level cookie cutter bs with puns and explosions every five minutes, we will NOT be tuning in! Justice for Gambit, Rogue, Storm, and especially Mystique! 1
Magic_boXX Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 This made me super excited! And yes, please develop each character properly before jumping into Phoenix saga, apocalypse etc . I honestly would love for them to make it a series before a block buster movie. Explore each character story arch similar to wolverine and the x-men. And I agree we need to stop making it all about wolverine. Then each big bad make a movie. I really hope they cast well 3
Gorjesspazze9 Posted September 30, 2023 Author Posted September 30, 2023 (edited) Marvel Studios X-Men springing out of Captain America Brave New World would be a perfect tease entry My Pitch: Spoiler Following the Events of Captain America Brave New world, Society chooses sides on a new Civil Rights movement. Involving Mutants, Aliens such as the Skrull, Super powered beings, and Anti-hero’s. Charles Xavier starts a school for the youth that are being harassed or kicked out of thier homes for being mutants. in this new civil war of superpower individuals, Magneto thinks they should fight back as the superior race and right the failures of the Avengers. The film will be about Xavier recruiting students to be apart of his first class of X-Men and thier coming of age experiences. You can’t do a X-men story without social commentary on civil rights. Thats like literally the whole point of the team’s creation. This is the perfect opportunity to address mutantkind and X-men starting Edited September 30, 2023 by Gorjesspazze9
QueenB Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I lowkey hope they keep the universe separate from the MCU (and maybe down the line they face a common enemy LATER). I don't see how they can share one currently

superben Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 They should keep the powers around the level of First Class. Overpowered Jean Grey makes it boring fast. 1
SinnerCity Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 14 hours ago, AmericanIdol said: They should have started working on it after the last Avengers movie happened. Nobody cares about the old storyline anymore (that's why all the movies have bombed since then), we need the fresh X-Men storyline. If they do it like they did it with the Avengers its going to be a slay. Multiverse of Madness should have already started introducing the X-Men world. It’s the first MCU movie to feature Charles Xavier. How was not the introduction of X-Men to the MCU babes? Also, let us not forget that the Fox X Men franchise was what launched to the MCU to begin with. Y’all better trust the demand is here for an X-Men film done right but if they bring Dark Phoenix level of bad they can keep it and might as well say goodbye to any sort of redemption to the X-Men
Fading Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I wish they would do a Kitty Pride miniseries focusing on her mental health issues. Selena would be perfect for the role.
KaledKalil Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Every time I see someone questioning X-men vs Avengers, when it comes to questioning if X-men were that popular, I can only think of how it could have been if Disney didn't basically sabotage X-Men as a whole presence is pop culture after the boom of their MCU. Hopefully the movie will have a more serious tone rather than the Thor/GOTG route. As stated before, the civil rights commentary was a core element of the stories in general. I wonder how they are going to introduce them. Something with the vibe of Astonishing X-Men would be nice, but less flashy as what people would expect. 1
Johnny Jacobs Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 just in development????????????? now????????????? they are developing for 4 years omgg i thought they would be in production by nowwwwwww
Symmetra Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 The way Jean and Wanda Stans are going to be at each other’s throats . Excited 1 1
305 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 OMG imma need Jubilee to be a real and main character this time 1
Bey'Knight Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 On 9/29/2023 at 9:24 PM, Buffy said: Justice for Jubilee, Rogue, Storm, Cyclops, Gambit, Psylocke, and every other X-Men. Fox’s X-Men became a Wolverine show. Everyone needs equal screen time this time. And please, NO PHOENIX until 7 or 8 movies in. This isn’t realistic for a feature film. Even ensembles need a lead and through-line like Stark was for the avengers but yea Wolverine was over-emphasised in the original trilogy.
Liafen Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I'm about 75% sure they will screw it up and they are indeed in a hard position: the whole allure of X-Men and the mutantkind storyline is that they're different from the rest of the world - this is the main conflict. But now with MCU we basically have a world where every other person has superpowers and the multiverse made it even worse.
Coldpurry Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 We need Mystique in the lead role But no JLAW this time
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I know this is an unpopular opinion but i hope Jean Grey won't be the Wolverine of X-Men girls in MCU. She already had 2 whole ass movies dedicated to her story no matter how bad it is, so it's time to make other women take the center stage I mean they literally have Storm, Rogue, Jubilee, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, Magik etc etc but Hollywood treat them like some kind of useless supporting roles. I'm sick of it! 1

Click Clack Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 it’s about time, we need an x-men legends reboot shortly after 1
