Album Charts: #1 (NEW) Fantasy - Das Beste #2 (NEW) Anastacia - Our Songs #3 (NEW) Jeremias - Von Wind und Anonymität #5 (NEW) Kylie Minogue - Tension #29 (NEW) Doja Cat - Scarlet #32 (NEW) James Blake - Playing Robots into Heaven Single Charts: #11 (+1) Tate McRae - Greedy (*new peak*) #81 (+3) Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Desire (*new peak*) x Edited September 29, 2023 by B-Luke
B-Luke Posted September 29, 2023 Author Posted September 29, 2023 Anastacia achieves her 6th Top 10 album and her first in 9 years. 7th Top 10 album for Kylie, Disco and Golden did a little better (both peaked at #3). Doja matches Planet Her which also peaked at #29.
Prodigal Self Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Scarlet is a female boom bap album, I think it's getting great reception all things considered 1

Saint James Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Anastacia misses #1. what went wrong? 1

Popboi. Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 #29 is great for Doja, Germany’s chart is revenue based so streaming can only take you so far, especially as a female rapper. 27 minutes ago, Starkboy said: Is it? Paint The Town Red is a top2 hit Yes, it’s hard to chart well in Germany without a physical format push and Doja only had 1 CD with the old cover and the reduced 15 tracks tracklist available.
B-Luke Posted September 29, 2023 Author Posted September 29, 2023 28 minutes ago, Starkboy said: Is it? Paint The Town Red is a top2 hit PTTR is lowkey overshadowing the whole era everywhere, the fact she still got a #29 peak out of a flop era is good
Nashe Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 #29 might seem like a flop, but the German chart is revenue-based and she really ain't a physicals-seller so a lower position was expected.
Maroonx Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 yay for Kylie and Anastacia... Shame Anastacia missed the #1
simplywohoo Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Aw so sad Anastacia missed the top spot:/

Kylie hasn't been to Germany in 5 years, and for older acts reliant on selling physical albums to move units, that is a big error. 2

She has 2 albums with a million sales and another one nearing it. Kylie’s biggest album is only platinum. She also has way more hits. It’s like that in every mainland European country.
Siberian Tiger Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I had no idea Anastacia released an album, let me stream.

Kylie's previous four albums (dating back to 2010) all outperformed Anastacia's previous four albums (dating back to 2008). Anastacia's peak in Germany was much bigger than Kylie's, but saying she is massive there even now is a big reach. Had this album not been so aggressively geared towards her German public, it wouldn't have outperformed Tension. 1
