Teens do stupid things all the time. :deadbanana2:

And?

Actions have consequences, this teen killed a beautiful entity with 200 years of life and history

He should now pay up.

Not you comparing chopping down a random tree to murdering someone. :deadbanana2: you do realize that a lot more adults murder than teens do right? What does that say about their generation? :deadbanana2:

Uh stealing a snicker bar isn’t is a stupid thing.

Chopping down a national landmark 200 year old tree isn’t a “stupid thing” it’s plain vile and intentionally vile.

Teenagers aren’t 5 year olds and they need to be treated as they deserve when they do **** like this.

Send him to prison. At least 10 years and  banned from visiting any national landmark or figure :clap3:

No he does not need to go to prison for 10 years for chopping down a tree you sound crazy. :ace:

People in their 20s or older care more about dogs and plants than teens, especially a deranged one like this?

No one likes teens, like have you been in the internet in the last 10 years?

I don’t think he deserves to die, but he kind of needs his life ruined, you don’t kill a 200 year old entity just to be edgy

I hope you are capable of understanding how messed up this is, if not this is concerning.

That’s fine as long as you don’t procreate. You’d be another Willy Nilly parent letting your kid vandalize national landmarks thinking “well he’s just a teen no big deal”

Anyways, wonder if you’ll have the same idea if a teen burns down your family home for funsies since apparently, teens aren’t accountable for their actions.

It’s just a tree and he should only get whatever the charge is for chopping a tree down that isn’t yours.

It isn't just a tree though. It's a 200 year old landmark that is incredibly important to the community.

But imo it is alarming

It’s like a kid that kills pets, sooner or later they will become a rapist or murderer, they are a danger to everyone alive

And if by 16 you don’t know what’s right or wrong there’s not much you can do anymore.

Jail and life ruined tbh, he ended an entity with 200 years of life

That’s soo soo ****** up

Killing a pet and "killing" a tree are absolutely not the same thing lol.

But yes the kid should obviously be punished by a big fine, lots of community service, probation and a mental evaluation. I'm not sure what a jail sentence would achieve though except make it much more likely that he comes out a full fledged criminal

A tree is not the same as a per I know, but it’s a 200 year old tree, I mean it’s very important still.

God the “well he’s just a teen no big deal” crowd seriously needs to stop reproducing

And sadly most of the time they are the ones who want kids

Tbh most parents are unfit to educate their children these days

It’s questionable behaviour, but it’s a tree. It has no sentience. The ramifications of this are purely capitalist in nature, it probably drew in tourists - who do much more ecological damage in comparison just travelling there than any purpose this tree would’ve served throughout its 200 years.

It’s nonsensical to pay for the murder of trillions of sentient animals, who actually think & feel, for unnecessary consumption - your meat is the single largest culprit of deforestation, that you fund every time you elect to purchase a meat product  - and then feign concern for a single tree.

Some perspective for the ones calling for a child’s death.

That said, respect for nature & ecology should be a mandatory component of primary education & the world may just be better off.
