Cruel Summer Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Both parties showing exactly how in touch they are with what the average American thinks is truly important! The US government is the most useless institution in the universe. 1
byzantium Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Ok, but lets be honest. I am sure all the people affected by the shutdown would prefer that their senators don't wear sweatshirts behind closed doors than to get their paychecks on time.
SoJro101 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 The senate has already passed a bipartisan bill to fund the government. This whole shutdown stuff is really being held up by the house.
Big Bad Wolf Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I'm so confused.....someone give me a run down for dummies

OT: ironic that the most useless institution on the planet spent more time disgusted with the way Fetterman dresses than they were disgusted that child poverty went up 5% because Senator Manchin (and probably a few more corporate Dems) refused to keep the expanded child tax credit 1
If U Seek Amy Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 This is so on par for expectations for the modern US government
babyboy1 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 if you are in a senate you should be wearing formals. Period. Whats next? letting people in senate in thongs and bikinis? PISS RIGHT OFF

It couldn’t give less of a **** what they wear while doing so

A really good reporter for WAPO Jeff Stein gave a great summary of where in areas Biden’s done a good job of in terms of labor: But him and democrats still haven’t done enough for the country to fix the mess we are. Not even close
BletaRexher Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Why do people continue to worship any politician? They’re all the elite and completely out of touch with reality.
Sannie Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Passing a resolution =/= passing a bill. I do not get why people are like, "they can do this but not pass a bill for the shut down????" Two completely different things with the former being super easy and quick, albeit stupid.
