Ok, but lets be honest.  I am sure all the people affected by the shutdown would prefer that their senators don't wear sweatshirts behind closed doors than to get their paychecks on time.

The senate has already passed a bipartisan bill to fund the government. This whole shutdown stuff is really being held up by the house.

No they haven’t. They’re working on it but it’s not gonna pass till literally the day before the government shuts down. 
 

OT: ironic that the most useless institution on the planet spent more time disgusted with the way Fetterman dresses than they were disgusted that child poverty went up 5% because Senator Manchin (and probably a few more corporate Dems) refused to keep the expanded child tax credit

If you are in the Senate you should be passing legislation to better the lives of your constituents. It couldn’t give less of a **** what they wear while doing so

Passing a resolution =/= passing a bill. I do not get why people are like, "they can do this but not pass a bill for the shut down????" Two completely different things with the former being super easy and quick, albeit stupid.
