ari aster. i watched two of robert's movies and i didn't like them and i've only seen nope from jordan which was fine

All three are terrific directors-- I honestly rather judge their work than themselves as directors. 

 

My ranking would go as such (I haven't seen The Northman & I've only seen Nope once, so, this is not a finalized list by any stretch): 

 

1. Midsommar (Director's Cut) 

2. Midsommar (Theatrical Cut) 

3. Us 

4. Hereditary

5. Get Out 

6. The Lighthouse 

7. Nope 

8. Beau is Afraid

this is TOUGH, all three are some of my favorite directors currently working. but each of their current filmography has one movie that is weaker than the others.

 

if I had to rank:

1. Jordan Peele

2. Ari Aster

3. Robert Eggers

 

and their movies:

4. Us

5. The Lighthouse

6. Midsommar

7. Get Out

The others two are overrated.

Voted Ari for best director. I’d say he’s the better director and Jordan is the better writer, but it’s close. Best movie would be between Get Out, Nope, Midsommar, Hereditary and The VVitch, could make a case for any of them but voted for Get Out since it’s the most iconic one. Worst one is definitely The Northman.

All three are great, but for me it's Peele >>> Eggers > Aster

 

Us is my favorite movie out of all those, but I also loved Get Out, Nope and The Witch.

But if I have to choose - Midsommar would be the best movie here followed by Nope and The VVitch.

Hereditary, Us, The Witch and Midsommar are also excellent.

 

I havent seen Beau is Afraid but among the choices, Nope is the worst... by far.

Peele has not one good film, Us and Get Out are AHStories episodes with bigger budget
