I feel bad for Taylor in this regard, some (not all) of her fans stay trying to "vet" her bfs for her and dictate who is "worthy" of her in this weird unhealthy attachment style -  she is a grown woman and doesn't need her love interest's entire life story dug up immediately by her fans who don't know her.  Also these subset of her fans have crazy unrealistic standards of perfection for her bfs now.

There was this football analyst who said he feels like Swift fans sabotage her relationships because they don’t -truly- want her to be happy, lest the music suffer. I don’t agree with the blanket generalization but I do think there’s a faction of the fanbase that this is applicable to…
