SevenFootSounds Posted February 9 Posted February 9 This already sounds great! I wasn’t expecting enormous bangers but these chill songs. Stone Cold Freak is catchy.
Cbreezy Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Still listening... Just wanted to quickly say "A-Town Girl" is a...HIT. Lemme be clear in saying it's far from the best SONG (atm, that's still Good Good), but A-Town would easily blow up on TikTok etc. Much like Nicki's Everybody, the use of the sample carries it into undeniable GP hit territory.
BnPac Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) The album is good. He could obviously have trimmed it but I expected worse, most of the songs are slow RnB jams, it's good. Cold Blooded, Kissing Strangers, Room In A Room, On The Side, Luckiest Man stood the most for me on first listen. Margiela and Stone Cold Freak were also cute. I found BIG pretty childish tbh. I think I'll have the album on rotation. Edited February 9 by BnPac
BnPac Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Also Ruin doesn't grab like the rest of the tracks, I wonder why it's a single. 2 to 6 is pretty packed, I coulkd done without Latto though, I find her so unimpressive.

omrimayo Posted February 9 Posted February 9 So Kissing Strangers is the single they are pushing (at least in the UK it got to Radio 1 playlist just from day 1) and also on Spotify. 1
Cbreezy Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Had first full listen. it's "good", not great. It's way too long. There is a tight 10-12 track album within this 20+ track album. But all these artists are playing the streaming game. Standouts: Stone Cold Freak: BOP! A-Town Girl: It's a hit-hit. Much in the way Nicki managed with Everybody. A cheap "hit", but a hit nonetheless. One Of Them Ones: Classic sound! Good Good: probably still the best song Ruin: Dropping as the second single kinda makes sense now
Delusional Posted February 9 Posted February 9 The production on BIG is so good ! The McDonald’s line tho is cringe The album is cute but sooooo bloated 1

Cbreezy Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Imma need the Stone Kold Freak hive to rise! It sounds so expensive. I miss robust R&B production that is this layered in this era of whispering over barely there beats. 3
mrmarrero Posted February 9 Posted February 9 this is much better than i thought! no trap music which it's great 2
Nashe Posted February 9 Posted February 9 KISSING STRANGERSSSS !!!!!! omg an absolute bangerrrr. Think he definitely has a new pop hit on his hands with that one. listened through the album 2x at the gym, it's good. lots of bangers, but also some mediocre and childish stuff (Big wtf) 1
paulyyyozd Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) well this is just plausible mom music. I guess that's his target audience though and so I wish him success in that field. gotta say however, some of the lyrics on this album, if they were sung by a pop girlie, would be ridiculed for years lol. sweetkiss Posted February 9 Posted February 9 i cant finish album cause i need to get over atrocity BIG is and MCDONALDS line 1
MatiRod Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I'm so glad he's embraced the alternative R&B meets techno sound of a lot of 'Looking 4 Myself' on many of these new songs 2
sweetkiss Posted February 9 Posted February 9 ruin is the single cause its one of the rare ones that sounds fresh and nice. best songs on the album: i love u, please u, cold blooded and kissing strangers the worst: bop, a town girl, BIG risk it all is so boring, but its for the movie so
