Cbreezy Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) Really invested in this a) being good and b) doing well (or as well as can be in context). Slightly nervous on both fronts. LOVE Good Good, but really thought they were launching with a slow jam to ramp it up for single #2). Ruin is a solidly smooth album track; it's not obvious single material. (Kind of indifferent to Standing Next to You and Risk It All being on there. They aren't single-singles and he's playing the streaming game with that long a** tracklist) My gripe at the moment is the features. He has goodwill, but hasn't been an album seller in over a decade. So, he needs big features (or at least solid streamers like Summer and 21) to give him a streaming lift. Where are the Drake, Cardi, Megan...hell even Nicki collabs? Bieber? SZA? I'm not buying that he doesn't have the cool factor or bandwidth to rope a few of them in. Most of the features present as him helping the profile of those featured not the other way around. I get the sense his team is reserving the budget for radio (which is what worked for Good Good) or maybe something TikTok-related for a track on the album). I just wish they gave themselves an organic chance to slay by way of a big set of features. IMO, it's a good investment. Edited February 3 by Cbreezy 1

Not to mention… every single one of them flopped. 1

Bop - the r&b uptempo anthem equivalent of madonna's music maybe? lol Stone Kold Freak - the title is interesting on its own.
humbz Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I'm also wondering if I Love U/Please U will be a Need U/Missin U situation. I would love it so much.
TryMe Posted February 8 Posted February 8 There will be a Skims version with a bonus track called ''naked''. Confirmed by ms Kim Kardashian herself.

Blade Posted February 9 Posted February 9 What in the Intentions by Justin Bieber is Kissing Strangers
getBusy Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Just finished it and honestly i hated it. And i’m a big Usher fan. But this isn’t it. Only “Hard II Love” is worse.
Nashe Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Haven't finished it yet, but I Am The Party I Love U Kissing Strangers Ruin are my absolute faves already
justinxx Posted February 9 Posted February 9 on my first listen … and god, the artistic vision is lost. tempted to stop listening after “A-Town Girl” and “Keep on Dancin’” 2
El Nino Posted February 9 Posted February 9 First impressions: The album is a no for me. It's far too long and same-y, and dare I say it, corny. He should have trimmed it to keep people's interest. The second half of the album is MUCH better than the first. I will not say I'm disappointed because I don't expect much from an Usher album in 2024. It IS R&B like he promised, but I don't know what to think of it.
Kiss It Better Posted February 9 Posted February 9 the first few songs are misses for me but everything after track 5 are bops after bops keep on dancing gives off edm era usher risk it all, bop, i am the party, room in a room are r&b perfections please u is very lucky daye and i'm not surprised he co-wrote it, love it big is giving early 00s mcdonalds jingle like JT's i'm lovin it, so random but i like it
