That's irrelevant to the Super Bowl Half Time show though.

Well, I’m bringing it up because you mentioned J.Lo never got close to Usher’s success in the US. Success can be measured over various career directions. I would assume someone’s celebria is also a reason for them to get booked for SB HT and not just their hits. But oh well, it’s not that big of a deal, just thought I’d bring it up

What a slap in the face for both J.Lo and Shakira. They were each deserving of their own SB HT show. If Usher can get one, why couldn’t they?

Do you grasp how much more successful and acclaimed of a musical artist Usher is than J.Lo?

That sissy really compared Jlo and Shakira to USHER...

I love Usher and very happy he got the SB HT (he has the hits, charisma and performance skills), but I disagree with this. J.Lo cannot be compared to Shakira and Usher on basis of success because she’s an actress first who has seen incredible success in that area alone and therefore her celebria and success cannot be boxed in and directly compared with just music in terms of “success in the US”.

Her acting resume (and let’s face it —she’s not Meryl Streep) has nothing to do with the Super Bowl.

I just can’t look at him the same after that graphic image of him painted by his herpes victim. Green discharge from his ***** :pukey:

It does with her celebria. That’s what I related it to. People don’t get booked just based off hits but because of their popularity and celebria too! And J.Lo has gained high fame and celebria not just through music but also movies. That’s what I was trying to say.

There’s a reason she’s so high on the fame rankings. Even when compared to Usher or Shakira… it is what it is.

Its a no-brainer to have Alicia Keys as a guest for this. Who else? Lil’ John and Ludacris?

Yeah he should invite Alicia Keys and also the Yeah! performance should have the biggest spotlight.

Why do some of you pretend like Tinashe can’t sing? :rip: Calling her “a flop” is one thing, but pretending like she’s not a talented singer is just pure delusion, and speaks more to you just simply not knowing her discography outside of the cute lil party bop here and there.

Miley's fans acting disappointed. What would she have performed? Extended versions of party in the usa, wrecking ball and flowers with a country accent for 10 min? Also no one wanted nsync we already had JT give a really disappointing performance. After usher i hope there would be someone like Justin Bieber or Britney Spears perform cause these are the only remaining performers left with enough memorable hits.

Miley is more memorable than Britney tf

Mehh

So they're just offering the halftime to anyone at this point aren't they? Seems like the big names have all turned them down. Even Billie or Olivia could've been more interesting choices.

I'm against males doing Superbowl. A truly non event whenever a person with a ***** steps on that stage. That justin timber "performance" put me to sleep.

Not you complaining about Usher and male artists (yes, JT was a bore and so was M5) but then suggesting Billie and Olivia who will literally put on the blandest halftime show ever and call it a day?

ATRL what bothers you the most about USHER being the headliner ? the fact that he is a male singer, that he is straight or that he is black ? you mad that he has HITS & TALENT to slay this?

Usher? We going back to the 2000s now? Congrats to him tho :clap3:

Not everyone being disappointed. He's one of the most iconic artists of the 2000s - I mean Confessions alone

OMG

U Make Me Wanna

Caught Up

U Got It Bad

Confessions

Burn

My Boo

DJ Got Us Falling In Love

Love In This Club

Yeah!

And those are just his pop hits (not even counting his more favourite hardcore R&B crooner ballads)

He definetely has hits and is big enough of a name to headline it. Not only that, but he'll put on a show for sure.

That said, he definetely haven't been relevant for a lonnng time.
