Got the deluxe edition from Best Buy since they're giving an extra steelbook (which I will use to put FFVII Remake in since I missed out on that deluxe edition)

I spent money like crazy on FF16 stuff so I can't allow this lol

I feel like this is so soon. But I guess it makes sense cause this and 16 are different teams.

Actually makes me wonder just how much time will it take to get the FF16 DLC

Boxart looks like Kylie Minogue Tension album :lakitu:

FFIX stans RISE UP. Admittedly I haven't played too many FF games myself but I've watched family or friends play a lot (7, 10 and 16 really primarily). I've played 9 all the way through and 7 like half of the way through basically nn but I'd love to play at least all of 1-10 eventually.

The Crystal Chronicles series is also lowkey that B!TCH! The 2 DS games were fun and the original was great. Shame they bungled the remaster's release. I'd been really looking forward to that back in 2020 and was really disappointed when it eventually launched. Ah well.

Maybe I should switch back to PoKiTaurus cause people are actually like "who are you" :skull:

Or at least put my Clive avi back. I'll go back to those avis soon :heart2:

OT:

I looked through the 2024 guinness world records book and they only had a little blurb for Final Fantasy 16 to mention that Torgal exists? What?

This is the fastest selling PS5 game ever at the moment, why would they skip over that?

Yesss at there finally being a FF base :jonnycat:. X is the best in the series and VIII is hot garbage. That is all.

VIII is definitely convoluted but I still really enjoyed it. it's a very unique story that just didn't quite reach its full potential unfortunately. I honestly think that game deserved a remake more than VII. The whole time compression thing could've been expanded on more and I just think visually it would be stunning with the realistic approach games have nowadays. Imagine exploring Balamb Garden or Deling City with modern graphics :jonny5:

I’ve always felt VIII was the most cinematic of all the older games. If there was any one title in the series that would benefit it would be this one. So much they could improve and expand upon as the game is full of interesting ideas that still stand up today.

Then if I had to pick a second title, it would be VI. It really is the bridge game of the whole series and I’d love to see it done in a 3D way, especially since it’s never gotten the full remake treatment many of the other revered entries have.

Been playing around with Bing AI. It has ZERO clue how Clive looks like so I've been feeding it info to try to create him from scratch. These two are the best I can get. The first one ACTUALLY GOT THE POSE FROM THE BOXART and I swear the second one copied the hair from an actual artwork of Squall?? That is very distinctively Squall's hair. I didn't even use the key words "final fantasy" so I'm shocked it did that.

Hi my ff bebitas, I'm a newbie to the franchise. Which one should I start with? Mind you I don't own a ps5 :sadviolin:

So I don’t care for the more modern Final Fantasy games beyond FFX12 so imo it depends on what you like. I enjoy classique RPGs games so 3,4,6,7,8,9,10

Classic JRPG style: the first two entires do nothing for me lol. So I say 4 or 6, with 6 being the most acclaimed. Although 3 is also good and enjoyable, it just doesn’t quite compare story wise to 4 and 6 which are top tier all around.

Golden Age of back to back strong entries: 7-10 you can’t go wrong here.

6 is a great starter. Only problem starting with 6 is that the first five will never live up to it if you go back to them afterwards. :duck:

10 is also a great one, good battle system and a little easier on the eyes than the likes of 7, so that could be a fun starting place.
