Bad Decisions Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Almost nearing the end of Rebirth Just finishing up some side quests now before moving on in the story but I'm already so sad! I LOVED exploring each region and taking in the sights. Anyway, will probably finish this on the weekend.

Rigalo Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I hate this seems like it’s kinda flopping when it’s possibly one of the best FF games of all time
Reginald Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I am loving 7R2. The open world feels so much more engaging, alive, and enjoyable than either Forspoken or FF16. Whatever the 7R team is doing differently than the other AAA devs at Square, it's working well. 1
Rigalo Posted March 16 Posted March 16 XVI tanking the series to even newer lows… I’m not shocked the audience was scared to purchase after that one 1 1
Curaga Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Nibelheim bosses... Spoiler Vincent and Roche both killed me Roche in particular was just downright frustrating. I wish games would stop putting so much emphasis on parrying. Excited to maybe go to the Temple of the Ancients next! But maybe I need to buckle down and grind some levels/materia AP since I’ve been having such a hard time nnnnn. My bf has been watching me play and urging me to do the story parts ASAP, so I have only done side quests in the Grasslands and Cosmo Canyon.
Starshine Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I'm fawkin fumin I didn't access all of the grasslands for that plasma discharge materia. Apparently it's very powerful. I'm halfway done with the game, I've been taking it really slow but I feel less incentive to 100% every area. I didn't realize how long this game would be.

This game is absolutely massive I thought I did all (or at least most) of the Grasslands quests, but I have no idea what materia that is. I was just glad I found Magnify since Magnify–Curaga was my saving grace against Bahamut in Hard Mode in the last game. I’ve been afraid of missing the good materia in this game, though, since it seems impossible to catch everything the first time...

I thought I could pay 300gil to go back with my flop Chocobo and complete that little twink's challenge of accessing 16 enemies. But apparently the bosses are a one time thing and I can no longer Access them so I wasted time for nothing. I at least enjoy the side quests in this game, they don't seem as much of a slog as 16's. I think this will take 70 hours to complete compared to my 40 hours on the first one.

Graves Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Having fun so far - the open world parts are great and give me the right kind of Xenoblade-ish vibes. Hoping it stays this good throughout! Remake falls apart completely after Chapter 9.

bluevelvetcrowbar Posted March 16 Posted March 16 (edited) I just finished the game and the way my jaw was dropped the ENTIRETY of the last two chapters I really dgaf about sales, this is genuinely one of the best games I've ever played, Nomura I LOVE YOU and your insane mind, f*ck the haters can't wait to see how batsh*t the last game ends up being jckffkdk Edited March 16 by bluevelvetcrowbar
OhMyAlf Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Finished Rebirth earlier and wow, what a game. Blown away they really did all that and more huh

Fuuuuuck that final boss fight omg Took me 3 tries Spoiler I’m not a fan of the new multiworld/multiverse plot because I think multiverse is really overdone at this point, but I don’t hate it either. It kinda seems like Cloud and Aerith have a higher level of insight than the others, like in Bloodborne, since they can see each other and the multiverse seam in the sky despite being from different universes/timelines. Guess we’ll see how they wrap that all up and explain it, because I’m really not sure! Anyway, now that we have Remake and Rebirth, what does everyone think the 3rd game will be titled? Reunion seems a little too obvious, plus they already used that for the Crisis Core remake. Maybe Return (to the Planet)?
Fevesy Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Clive's outfit and Torgol mount for the FF16 event in FF14 + some orchestration rolls + Clive card No Clive or Joshua wig, Yoshi P when I catch you….
Bad Decisions Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Finally finished Rebirth. That ending... I have some thoughts but overall? What a game! I may have a few issues here and there but in the end I still love it Im not even going to attempt hard mode anytime soon though lol Anyway! Time to revisit my baby daddy Clive next month

Fevesy Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I -might- wait until the PC version before replaying FFXVI/do the DLC tbh. It's been too long since it's release and too soon to do another playthrough. I finished FFXIII-2 and got all the achievements and now doing a playthrough of Lightning Returns rn, the way the gay in me is prioritising good looking outfits with cohesive weapons instead of what's optimal
Rigalo Posted March 23 Posted March 23 The rebirth performance mode patch being a flop whos shocked **** U squeenix
helpthomas Posted March 23 Posted March 23 i hope they are downplaying how far they have come in the process of FF7R3, because i'm experiencing genuine withdrawals rn and it's gonna be hard to wait another 4 years 1
