This isn’t what she was saying or posting about this cover at all, prior to the photographers comments tho. 
 

She’s right, in that a skilled photog should be using makeup, lighting & angles to do most of the heavy lifting & editing is more of a final corrective touch - the goal should never be to make the subject unrecognisable. 
 

It’s odd because she looks just fine in the video shots:

OT: The photographer should’ve known better to have the exposure at the right level, so that Ebony didn’t have to have some else try to salvage the photo in the first place.
