So episode 1 happens again in the last episode. Good for you, this forced butch and 'she can't be feminine or girly' **** is so lame. Lara herself acts out of character, she's so goofy it's disgusting. Truly, the disgust on my face was indescribable. Where is the femme fatale, who knows how to articulate herself in a very charismatic manner? Cos she sure ain't here.

I guess I'm biased as I was obsessed with Tomb Raider when it came out in 1996 but once I saw the Netflix show was using the 2013 Lara; I refused to watch. I played the games and did enjoy them but to me, they were just new adventure games and not 'Tomb Raider'. I mean, I don't really consider anything but Core's Lara to be Lara but that just the stubborn person in me. I don't give a single f*ck either. I'll play the games but that's it. I miss original Lara so much. 2

Pop Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Everyone related to "new Lara" needs to be fired. They need to realise NOBODY wants this masculine version. We already have enough Michelle Rodriguez coded butch characters in action movies. What made Lara special that she was a FEMME action hero. Let her be! 1

Who would dare say they wish to be like Reboot Lara? 21 minutes ago, jezebelvictoria said: I guess I'm biased as I was obsessed with Tomb Raider when it came out in 1996 but once I saw the Netflix show was using the 2013 Lara; I refused to watch. I miss original Lara so much. You are 1000% correct tho. The reboot games did NOT give Tomb Raider at all. Just your generic run-of-the-mill cover shooter, adventure game *uncharted rip off*. Core's Lara will remain the supreme. I miss her like she were an extremely close loved one who passed on LAU Lara was still Lara slightly more emotional, too bad the gameplay in those games was made for 3-year-olds. It's terrible what's happened to her, would Marvel/DC get away with drastically changing one of their superheroes like this? 1
KeshaSwift Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Yup guys I'm so shocked, how did I miss the announcement???? When did this happen? this is such good news. I'm stoked. MasterXPosed Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Angel Of Darkness desperately deserved a remaster. I can't believe It's actually happening. That game was/Is so broken even with mods to fix It. I wonder If they'll fix anything else besides controls, and the dual pistols I saw. 1
SmittenCake Posted October 15 Posted October 15 im so gagged they're really going through with an AOD remake I thought they'd just do TR4 and 5 1

I really hope they have enough time to get everything right and complete. Remastered 1-3 didn't release in a finished condition.
noonbob Posted October 17 Author Posted October 17 Cute AOD Lara coming for that AOD TRILOGY after 4-6 remasters
noonbob Posted October 17 Author Posted October 17 Seeing as Netflix show is TRASH! I'm removing it from thread. 1

A tiny part of me hoped the anime would prove me wrong and it would show Lara become more in line with her Classic/LAU self but no. I hate to say it, but I was constantly feeling disgusted by her and the way she was carrying on So out of line of who LARA CROFT is. The people defending her confuse me even more. "she's still in her mid 20s, she is growing as a person" "she's dealing with childhood trauma" ***** NO! Classic teenage Lara wasn't this much of an emotional *****, awkward or embarrassing.

They turned her into a generic character that could be anyone else named…anything else tbh. 1
