I still wish we had a proper TR2 remake but I'll still buy this for my collection and it's got those excellent expansion packs that weren't properly available for a long time.

Saw my game was ready to play and gave it a quick 30 minute go playing TR1 since it's late and I have work tomorrow and on the PS5 it looks phenomenal. LOVE the one-click change to the old graphics. So far was finding the analog controls a bit mucky but I know TR1 wasn't designed with analog in mind so it is what it is. It's just joyous being able to play these games on such a new console.

Absolutely loving the remasters!

My only nitpick is the water, not that I was expecting TombEngine type of water.

The surface texture sucks, when underwater, Lara no longer has a bluish tint, so it can kinda seem like she is flying.

Underwater effects are lacking and look at this comparison, you can't even tell that is the surface.

 

 

 

So i hope this can get updated/patched.

 

Again LOVING it  switching back graphics is a breeze and I love it.

 

I'm not playing modern controls because that's just a NO, but I had a little play around with them in Lara's Home. Have no interest in using them tho.
