The entire point of the anime is to bridge the gap between Shadow and Tomb Raider 1 and unify the timelines. 

 

I'm sure she will have her dual pistols and classic look by the end of the show. The plot picks up right after Shadow ends which is why she still has her survivor look in the beginning.

Their avi is of a mobile game, they are about to re-release 90s games, and now about to have an anime show that is a sequel to a controversial 2018 game that failed to meet expectations. 

And there's a live action Amazon show in the works.

Legend was a fluke. I won't be surprised if that game's story is the script that was intended for the 3rd movie that Jolie backed out of.

Cause we even got her two sidekicks just like in the movies. And it's the same mansion.

Looking very rebooty, not a good sign. Her face is cute, gives classic Lara.

Everything else is  The voice actress they chose has a beautiful voice for Lara,

Will be such a waste if they give her that annoying reboot personality.

Unifying isn't really seeming too good so far.

She had her duals at the end of TR2013 too but look at what happened there.

They really don't deserve a second chance at showing her "Become Lara Croft/The Tomb Raider".

 

Going back to Core's teenage Lara, she didn't have an ounce of the grating personality that reboot has.

She wasn't screaming or crying for mom and dad every 2 mins.

 

 

They should totally scrap the unify idea and go back to using classic Lara's bio, character, story and develop on that.

Tomb Raider was literally about to be abandoned altogether before Crystal Dynamics took over its development. Core Design literally tried to kill her off for good with The Last Revelation.
