vuelve88 Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 (edited) In some ways, it reminds me of 90s Shakira. It’s like “Pies descalzos, sueños blancos” (social commentary and video), meets a more danceable “Ciega sordomuda” (MTV Unplugged version). Edited September 21, 2023 by vuelve88 1

Her versatility is kind of insane. I suspect she won't give us another "big" single off the album until the release of the album, cause they need a hit for the album release. That's why I think we will get Origami or the Cardi B Collab by the end of October. Various insiders said the album comes the 27th. Yeah I've given up expecting solo songs from her at this point. Again I don't mean collaborations as long as the featuring artist is worthwhile and the output is good. I wanna believe an album is coming this year but I'm really trying not to get my hopes up anymore. We've been at this since summer 2018, I'm legitimately getting tired 😫 I am really curious which K-Pop girl group she's going to go with as a feature and they need to go all out with the video. Blackpink, Aespa and Le Sserafim are her only worthy options. Let’s be honest she was more focused on that a hole, she was even considering retiring. karol bad bunny Rosalia and rawu were all practically carrying the Latin market for years, Shakira was not going to get another laundry service era on her own, it’s obvious these artists benefit from collaborations now days. thing with Shakira is very rarely does she collab with A listers she usually does for a lead single, I get why she kept choosing these collaborations with artists that already peaked, she gotta be the protagonist while helping the artists with numbers win x win Her name in itself secures any markets lol it's not like she needs to reassures that she still has pull. She knows damn well by now. Yes we're all well aware of her devotion to that "man" as well as her speaking of early retirement. Unfortunately for the better her heartbreak has been the best thing to happen to her career in awhile. Let's not do too much on girl cause she had a solo hit on her last album with Me Enamore and El Dorado secured her seamless transition into the streaming era and gave us one of her tours so it wasn't a total loss. Ozuna, Maluma, Rauw are not the charity cases that you're making them out to me. The first two are re-peaking and the latter has yet to.

I think her releasing tracks at the rate she's doing it is just fine; she's just having fun. I'm a Shakira fan and I have zero interest in her pushing the last 5+ released songs plus an addition 3-4, calling it an album, and disappearing for the next 5 years. I just rather her release songs throughout the year. At the end, what difference does it make? What would we gain from her releasing an album right now other than giving her more of an excuse to go back into the typical Shakira hibernation szns we all ***** about? An artist of her caliber especially with the continued resurgence is success and now freedom and creative spark back should be able and willing to put out a body of work with ease. She's been at this for 4 decades and we've only gotten 2 albums out of her in the past decade it's ridiculous. If theirs was no demand people still wouldn't be pressed for one so clearly the interest is still there. She's still collecting hits, receiving accolades and breaking records why shouldn't she continue her output, if anything now is the perfect time to do so. Again idk what kind of record deal she has going on but the execs need to get on her ass asap. The unnecessary delays are getting out of hand and the dragged out campaign and gotten unanimously tedious. If she's releasing a Spanish album, it won't succeed if she fills it with rock, ballads, etc. Its gonna most likely be filled with all of her droplets adding a rock song and ballad or two won't make or break her. Despite her fan base being so bipolar always criticizing everything she drops they still support her. you really think Latin pop is going to be reggaeton azz shaking Kali uchis tokischa anuel singing about how long they can go for in bed forever ? There are still real singer/songwriters out there. There are numerous new Luis Miguel’s new laura pausinis out there. Thing is anybody can be famous nowadays, just gotta have some stupid gimmick and a public behind that will eat everything you release. Shakira is doing what she does best transitioning into each era effortlessly, just like what madonna has been doing all these decades. And clearly the Latin market is all $$$ nowadays. All about collabos streaming and tours If Shakira calls it quit stops touring and just drops albums here and there a la Ana Gabriel, Gloria Estefan I see her doing just fine. Here's to thing in order for her to be doing the same as Gloria and Ana she needs to be putting out music at least consistently instead of 1 year of droplets then hibernating for half a decade. Also their was zero need to drag Kali Uchis as she's an actual great and talented artist. On 9/16/2023 at 10:45 PM, Dark Phoenix said: Album in spring 2024, tour summer 2024. She did at some point vaguely tease it last year but there was never an official announcement or even an album title given to the public. These fans keep acting as if they are insiders, mostly for attention but they are just as clueless as she is when it comes to her album rollout and it's annoying to witness. Now, according to the super "insiders" it's gonna be two albums , even though there's absolutely nothing that suggests such thing from her part. It's all pure assumption and wishful thinking presented as facts. She could release the playlist she's working on and give a solo album to her loyal core fanbase afterwards, just to remind them that she's still got it in her. She's so all over the place artistically there's no actual plan for her future projects. It's the "let's throw things out there and see what sticks" type of strategy she's been doing for the last 5 years. Obviously, her dad's fragile health and the upcoming trial are major hurdles in the way and must be draining her emotionally. She didn't vaguely tease it. She djd confirm on multiple occasions that the album was done. It's not our fault if information keeps leaking and she keeps delaying and misleading us. While I get the personal stuff that she's going through considering how much she talks about the music has created it's only fair that we see it shared and releases officially
