Her versatility is kind of insane. I suspect she won't give us another "big" single off the album until the release of the album, cause they need a hit for the album release. Yeah I've given up expecting solo songs from her at this point. Again I don't mean collaborations as long as the featuring artist is worthwhile and the output is good. I wanna believe an album is coming this year but I'm really trying not to get my hopes up anymore. We've been at this since summer 2018, I'm legitimately getting tired 😫 I am really curious which K-Pop girl group she's going to go with as a feature and they need to go all out with the video. Blackpink, Aespa and Le Sserafim are her only worthy options.

Tbh I think she was trying to secure her name in her main markets again. Let’s be honest she was more focused on that a hole, she was even considering retiring.

 

karol bad bunny Rosalia and rawu were all practically carrying the Latin market for years, Shakira was not going to get another laundry service era on her own, it’s obvious these artists benefit from collaborations now days. 
 

thing with Shakira is very rarely does she collab with A listers she usually does for a lead single, I get why she kept choosing these collaborations with artists that already peaked, she gotta be the protagonist while helping the artists with numbers  win x win 

Her name in itself secures any markets lol it's not like she needs to reassures that she still has pull. She knows damn well by now. Yes we're all well aware of her devotion to that "man" as well as her speaking of early retirement. Unfortunately for the better her heartbreak has been the best thing to happen to her career in awhile. Let's not do too much on girl cause she had a solo hit on her last album with Me Enamore and El Dorado secured her seamless transition into the streaming era and gave us one of her tours so it wasn't a total loss. 

Ozuna, Maluma, Rauw are not the charity cases that you're making them out to me. The first two are re-peaking and the latter has yet to.

Mexico is Latin music's top consumer base and when it comes to streaming its one of the top countries in the world (Mexico City alone is the top streaming city in the world according to Spotify). Its also why someone like Anita has been busting her ass to gain popularity there too. And Banda music isn't for all this international appeal, you either like it or you don't lol.

 

Origami is the Kpop collab. Copa Vacia was meant to come out in the scrapped then delayed for Acrostico. Then when Copa Vacia dropped they delayed Origami only to change plans again and drop this song

You can hear in the video the fans asking for a date shouting “fecha, fecha” and she said nothing, the only thing is that she keeps working and the next single after El Jefe is one that she’s been working in Los Ángeles this past weeks 

We need a no holds bar reporter that isn't gonna fold and press her about the album and tour asap.

I'm a Shakira fan and I have zero interest in her pushing the last 5+ released songs plus an addition 3-4, calling it an album, and disappearing for the next 5 years. An artist of her caliber especially with the continued resurgence is success and now freedom and creative spark back should be able and willing to put out a body of work with ease. She's been at this for 4 decades and we've only gotten 2 albums out of her in the past decade it's ridiculous. If theirs was no demand people still wouldn't be pressed for one so clearly the interest is still there. She's still collecting hits, receiving accolades and breaking records why shouldn't she continue her output,  if anything now is the perfect time to do so. Again idk what kind of record deal she has going on but the execs need to get on her ass asap. The unnecessary delays are getting out of hand and the dragged out campaign and gotten unanimously tedious.

If Shakira calls it quit stops touring and just drops albums here and there a la Ana Gabriel, Gloria Estefan I see her doing just fine.

Here's to thing in order for her to be doing the same as Gloria and Ana she needs to be putting out music at least consistently instead of 1 year of droplets then hibernating for half a decade. Also their was zero need to drag Kali Uchis as she's an actual great and talented artist.

She is not and better not include those songs. Sessions is technically a solo song because it features just her. The other songs were and are old collabs for BEP and their albums. Tutu has zero business making it onto anything.
