Shakira- HITS/medley live performance @ VMAS

I dont think people understand how hard it is to do a medley like this. It takes a LOT of energy and planning. Its scary how easy she makes it seem. We arent getting any new performers of this caliber in the near future i fear. :dancehall:

She killed it as usual. She Wolf, Ojos Asi and Session 53 were stand outs…her singing hits from 4 different decades its crazy

I wasn't gagged tbh. But it was good overall. Lip-sync and tour choreo really bother me tho.

Well ... i love shakira but this was mediocre

The outfit was okish nothing spectacular

Most of the performances were exactly the same with old ones ( Whenever and Hips from Superbowl , Objection from the awards show ) , she lipsynced completely , she left out big moments of her career etc etc

And the most important thing ... no tour announcement????

Mediocre? Once again this was an award that was a tribute to her career references and duplicates of certain things were to be expected as she's literally serving us the best of moments from her career. Supposedly we have an announcement this weekend and an upcoming collaboration with Cardi B dropping next month.

The album isn't ready, what will she be announcing? :toofunny3:

Recreating music video moments would have been iconic and she did that with She Wolf And TQG but repeating OVER AND OVER again live performances... the whenever wherever intro that she does for 20 years the same thing ... or the Hips dont lie that it was practically copy paste from the SuperBowl it just destoys the uniqueness of the one time thing

Won't be anyone else like her anytime soon. For the people who claim Karol, Rosalia, Anitta or Camila will be her successors need to stop let those girls do their thing and ya

Where's Loca?

Insider on Twitter say it will be a song with Peso Pluma. Coming for her third #1 this year.

I'm gonna need to see a side by side comparison because I'm not seeing the copy and paste that you say... I enjoyed the performance regardless

How do you know that it's not ready if she's made it seem otherwise by posting the guy who does her final mixes not too long ago?

Also her doing Te Felicito over La Tortura , Chantaje or Loca ... :rip:

The microphone being completely OFF for 10 minutes, :deadbanana2: The energy was good though.

Dx God i hope not and that instead we get that Cardi B or K Pop collab instead. Give us the ******* album madre! I'm literally begging anyone but Peso Pluma I hate both his music and his voice. Gonna do a regional mexican song get with Becky G or Thalia. You're a legend sis how hard is it to book a collab with Rosalia, Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Kali Uchis, Camila Cabello, Drake, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Coldplay, RedOne, Max Martin, Tiesto, Benny Blanco, Skrillex

Estoy Aqui, Waka Waka, Can't Remember To Forget You as well. See what happens when you have that many hits, queen ****

It was ok, I’d love to have been surprised but it was an extended version of the Superbowl performance.

The mic was definitely off and when she was surfing the crowd it was very obvious and in some moments she looked like out of breath, but it’s ok she’s 46 and single mother of two.

The song selection was a choice, she could have done Don’t Bother, Tortura, Loca, Empire and she does a medley of her last singles…

Anyway I feel like we already saw 20% of the tour concert here, I’m sure she will do the same elevated platform thing and the blade dance.

Completely off throughout the entire thing? No. Let's not act like the woman in your avi doesn't lip sing from time to time

I dont get why she lipsyncs . Im pretty sure she can smash it live

She could have done at least Session 53 live

Your first comment is literally riddled with ageism, sexism and misogyny 💀 not you suggesting that she sings Empire 😑 a song that she struggles to sing live when CRTFY is right there! If this is what her tour is like she can take my money. We need the album and tour now 😩

Considering all the stunts, choreography, sets etc it probably was to avoid any technical issues like her being out of breath or whatever but she did more than fine yall

The microphone was not turned on at any point throughout that performance and my fave has nothing to do with the thread. I'm not interested in your trolling, I was just sharing my thoughts on the performance. :skull:

She's such an amazing performer, too bad she's so blatant with her lipsynching. It was giving Britney :rip:
