Almodusa Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 Thought the album was very cute. SSOH is the standout, but others like Whole Wide World and Mess It Up were highlights for me.
The Next Day Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 (edited) I'm not a huge Stones fan, but this album is surprisingly fun. It feels very contemporary while having a lot references to their whole music career. No try-hard mess like certain other old-school rockstars recently, just a cool vibe all around. The Muddy Waters cover gives me goosebumps, what a beautiful way to not only close the album, but coming full circle in their careers. And my god, these 80 year olds really gave us the bop of the year with Mess It Up, let's go (grand)daddies! Edited October 20, 2023 by The Next Day 1
