Yep I’m thinking about the same, especially when you check out those phenomenal sophomore eras (Oops, TD, BTW, fearless, FN, 21…). Most sophomore eras by Mpgs serving much bigger debut no matter the longevity, cause they were building fanbase during their debut era. Now both Billie and Olivia is giving one era wonder rather than MPG

That's because Billie and Olivia already had a solid fanbase in their debut era. I mean both of their debut albums debuted with 300K The Fame opened with like 40K or something

yes, billie's EP had already made the year end chart the year before so she'd already had an era.

FN didn't have a big debut…..It didn't even hit #1. Neither did TD, which was actually criticised for having such a low debut despite the big hits.

 

Also all these albums were at a different era. Some of these "mpgs" can't even cross 200 k now.
