RobynYoBank Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Those numbers from Drake are surprisingly high. Also surprised that Fleetwood Mac and MJ made the list, but not The Beatles.

BSB with 11.7m album sales in 1999. Singles contributed negligibly to total units for them that year. This means she already has the biggest year for any artist in the SoundScan era and has all of September, October, November, and December left to count, including 1989 TV which seems locked to add another million units in its first week alone. Do Billboard and Nielsen (now Luminate) use the same start and end dates for the year, though? Taylor just passed 10M for 2023 calendar year a week or two ago. Billboard's 2023 year starts before the end of the year, I think. Not that it matters in this case, because she'll top BSB regardless of the start and end.

No, you’re right, I avoided correcting myself after I realized my mistake She should end up roughly in the same ballpark between the two I guess, since SoundScan will be missing some Midnights weeks that Billboard includes and Billboard will miss a few of 1989.

She is still performing several songs from her past albums some not even that old. Some other artists don't even need to tour to have their old albums charting.

She needs to do better next album/era and give visuals and promote and make hits again. A flop would fail to chart a single whatsoever on the Hot 100. That would be a flop. Renaissance isn't even close to being a flop. It's at #35 on the BB200 57 weeks in. The last time your fave had an album chart that long was in 2001. Why are you talking about flopping? You can pretend you're not a hater all you want, but if you enter a thread to just straight up lie, then you expose yourself. 18 hours ago, Axelios said: And it's not like Beyonce didn't experience a huge decline since her 2000s peak. Oh no, a black woman in her 40s is no longer as commercially successful as she was in her 20s when she was pumping out pop music and heavily promoting? I am SHOCKED. Whatever is she going to do with her #1 single, her top 10 single, #1 multi-platinum eligible album from her most recent era, 25 years into her career? I swear some of you are so delusional with your expectations of this woman and then you still try and drag her. It's ridiculous.

Bad Bunny, Morgan Wallen, Travis Scott, SZA, Luke Combs and Post Malone are in NO way bigger than Beyoncé. You are too focused on current streaming stats, you always fail to see the bigger picture with every single reply you make. Beyoncé has moved almost 30M album sales and 114 million single sales in the US and at 25 years is one of the very few artists who keeps consistently debuting at No.1, getting No.1 hits, selling out massive tours. Lets talk about when those aforementioned artists reach 25 years to compare which ones ended up being bigger. Spotify numbers are the worst thing ever to happen to this website istg

It clearly has a multitude of stans for other artists pressed. Not you acting like it's a huge ass achievement when Taylor easily have 10 albums charting every week. You think I'm pressed with a #35 charting album?
newaespa Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Taylor is on another level Sza Rihanna being retired from music, not even touring (which will boost the sales) etc , and still above someone buzzzzzzzz

Yet still, for some reason, you're all so deeply insecure about other female artists succeeding.

The insecurity comes from you when everybody has different definition of success. #35 over a year is a success to you then congrats, to me it just isn't. What's so hard to understand. You don't have to convince anyone that your fave is the BIGGEST ARTIST IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE if you believe so. Congrats on celebrating #35

Congrats on celebrating #35 I must've missed the part where I tried to convince anyone my fave was the 'BIGGEST ARTIST IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE' (). It seems like this whole conversation is you desperately trying to downplay the huge success of another female artist because you're threatened. That's just sad.
