Infernal Paradise Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Still gotta listen to the edit but first listen of the original: what an AMAZING song. 7 and a half minutes went by like a breeze. Sooo good. The slow-burning build up. The instrumentation. The production. The crescendo moment. The musical harmony between all three. This is magical, honestly. Wow. Mick sounds fantastic. Stevie on the piano is just such a treat as always. Gaga is OTHERWORDLY insane on this. Still recovering from the slayage. Instant classic. LEGENDS Yeah, after this taste, we NEED #LG7 in this vein or inspired by this sound. Oh and goes without saying, ROCKGA SUPREMACY 2 6 1
pokerfaceboy Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 If LG7 sounds anywhere close to this, whew 1

Infernal Paradise Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 (edited) Telegraph The Rolling Stones, Sweet Sound of Heaven, review: Jagger and Gaga on astonishing, exultant form ★★★★★ 5/5 Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder help push the Stones to heights they haven't reached in decades for this soulful, gospel riposte to old age. Quote The Rolling Stones have dropped a new single, and it is the best thing they have done in decades. Featuring both Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder jamming with the band, Sweet Sound of Heaven is a thrilling, uplifting proto-gospel song that belongs in the very highest echelons of the Stones’ starry catalogue. Quote Gradually the whole band rejoins the fray, building it up again, higher and higher to an even more explosive climax or righteous musical joy. It is the kind of thing that can only happen when a band is playing together, live in the studio, something you will rarely hear on modern recordings. It is the essence of the Stones’ appeal in seven and a half minutes of pure pleasure. Sweet Smell of Acclaim Edited September 29, 2023 by Marry Illusion Glory 2

Sweet Smell of Acclaim It’s just too good to be true, I have it on repeat both edit and long version

chosensparkles Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Quote Meanwhile, Gaga ended up on “Sweet Sounds” when she was recording at the same studio and asked to stop by to say hello. As Ron Wood recalled, Gaga “was sitting there on the floor just digging it and singing along” to the in-progress song before Jagger requested that they “do it properly.” From consequence
Infernal Paradise Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Clash Music Quote Gaga appears on this new song, super-charging the arrangement with her utterly distinctive voice. Alongside this, the magnificent Stevie Wonder re-joins the Stones – he toured with them back in 1972, and they’ve remained close ever since. Quote A seven-minute workout, it’s an impressive soul ballad with some Southern overtones, the arrangement showing the Rolling Stones at their best. A word, too, for Mick Jagger’s vocal – writhing, packed with emotion, it contains the energy of a singer half his age. The acclaim continues
WildAmerican Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Gaga getting us british cigs to listen to the Rolling Stones loving the song tho
Roberto Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Pretty sure this is the kind of song that Gaga enjoys to record the most and honestly, WOW! This is so good although I needed more Gaga and less Rolling Stones. 1
Outlaws Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 We really need that rock album. She would DELIVER. No doubt. 2
Thor Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Quote Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder help push the Stones to heights they haven't reached in decades for this soulful, gospel riposte to old age This sentence alone… Can you say Legendaric?
duybeeGAshantiGA Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Gaga served peak vocals in this song. She properly never sounded better. The Sound of Music and this song are prolly her best vocal moments yet they are so different. Imagine if LG7 is anywhere like this it would be her best album. 1

Happylittlepunk Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 This is a very beautiful song. The fact that it is 7 minutes long. Shows they didn’t care about tik tok. Which is even better. 1
Kiel D-01 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I love it, it’s sooo good with or without Gaga. With Gaga, it’s even better of course. 1
Infernal Paradise Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Billboard Quote Lady Gaga skies up into her highest, most soulful register on the new Rolling Stones gospel blues burner “Sweet Sounds of Heaven.” The latest preview single from the Stones’ upcoming Hackney Diamonds album takes its time, unspooling over more than seven minutes of righteous rambling that sounds like outtake from the band’s beloved 1972 Americana rock classic Exile on Main St.
