Digitalism Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 The fact that Taylor acted like a friend and then took 50% for a bridge 9 1
PoisonPill Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) Her answer makes it very clear the song is not about Taylor. The lyrics don’t even fit anyway. That said, Taylor ain’t **** for doing that to a brand new young artist over a very loose similarity in a bridge. Edited September 2, 2023 by PoisonPill 1 1

Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Interviewers need to stop asking Olivia about Taylor and let her be her own artist. I’m really tired of them being compared. Olivia is lowkey the anti-Taylor at this point anyway: Taylor was the good girl, fairytale dreamer and generally optimistic in her music early on in her career, while Olivia at the same age is serving the bad girl, into punk, curses more, and a realist to the point of having a nihilistic view on the world. 2
Holy Ground Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Secure your royalties Taylor I hope she spent it on jet fuel! 5 2
PoisonedIvy Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) Doesn’t the fact that the G4U and deja vu credits both happened at the same time and now with this information that they are the exact same percentage kind of prove Olivia & her team decided to credit both teams the same thing at the same time? Because how on earth would Taylor + team and Paramore’s team negotiate the exact percentage at the exact same time for them to be approved the exact same day. These are two entirely separate artists with entirely different lawyers, publishers, labels, etc. That fact alone tells me Olivia and her team most likely just chose to credit both teams of their own accord, whether they wanted to or not. They’re the common denominator here, not Hayley + team w/ Taylor + team. Edited September 2, 2023 by WeFoundTrouble 4

Popular Post Audiohead Posted September 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2023 I consider myself pretty objective on this topic since I’ve been a Taylor fan for 16 years and usually defend her in most situations. But also love Olivia. Taylor was wrong and screwed Olivia over. Period. Stans who think Taylor can do no wrong ever will obviously disagree and defend her in this scenario. A lot of these young girls coming out now grew up inspired by Taylor and their music will reflect that. That’s a good thing?????? But none of them had the success and the $$$$ that Olivia had with Sour. Do I think Taylor personally wrote a letter to Olivia’s team demanding credits or they’d sue? No. Do I think they did this behind Taylor’s back and without her approval? Also no. Taylor has more money than she knows what to do with. She didn’t need Olivia’s money. This was an ego thing. It will never undo what’s already been done, but I hope Taylor can apologize to her one day and admit she was wrong. (Also as a long-time Taylor fan, I can name multiple blatant examples of Taylor plagiarizing that she never felt the repercussions of because she has better lawyers/ business savvy people than Olivia did) 11 4

Taylor Swift is so fake. Reveal hidden contents Well Kanye never made Taylor famous but Olivia can’t seem to make a song that doesn’t sound like someone else’s 1 1

Blade Runner Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 I can't believe it's 2023 and people are still doing this Gaga v Madonna/Rihanna v Beyoncé/Xtina v Britney kind of bullsh+t. Women truly live in a prison. 2
Embustera Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Taylor has all the success but is still jealous of this girl 1 2
Ratviolo Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) Damn, Olivia is really getting from Taylor the same treatment Gaga got from Madonna back in the day. It’s so so sad to see, especially coming from someone who’s been so vocal about her feminism. Imagine being this pressed over a young, successful woman Edited September 2, 2023 by Ratviolo 5 2
Saint James Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 so far, in terms of image and playing the media game, her and Taylor are 2 peas in a pod. i’m seeing now that this comparison has stuck for good and will continue popping up, in the britney/xtina gaga/madonna fashion. i’m interested to see how Olivia will handle it.

Imagine being this pressed over a young, successful woman Madonna never took credits from Gaga though over a much bigger similarity. She may have shaded her to be petty but that’s where it ended. What Taylor has done is far worse.
