Her answer makes it very clear the song is not about Taylor. The lyrics don’t even fit anyway.

That said, Taylor ain’t **** for doing that to a brand new young artist over a very loose similarity in a bridge.

Olivia agreed to the splits. End of story.

Imagine thinking Olivia a newcomer was in a position to go on a trial with Taylor swift

Considering the fact that Taylor is her senior in the industry, I doubt that Olivia had much say :rip:

Interviewers need to stop asking Olivia about Taylor and let her be her own artist. I’m really tired of them being compared. Olivia is lowkey the anti-Taylor at this point anyway: Taylor was the good girl, fairytale dreamer and generally optimistic in her music early on in her career, while Olivia at the same age is serving the bad girl, into punk, curses more, and a realist to the point of having a nihilistic view on the world.

Secure your royalties Taylor :clap3: I hope she spent it on jet fuel!

Doesn’t the fact that the G4U and deja vu credits both happened at the same time and now with this information that they are the exact same percentage kind of prove Olivia & her team decided to credit both teams the same thing at the same time?

Because how on earth would Taylor + team and Paramore’s team negotiate the exact percentage at the exact same time for them to be approved the exact same day. These are two entirely separate artists with entirely different lawyers, publishers, labels, etc.

That fact alone tells me Olivia and her team most likely just chose to credit both teams of their own accord, whether they wanted to or not. They’re the common denominator here, not Hayley + team w/ Taylor + team.

Olivia reminds me so much of those theater kids who took everything someone said to them as a personal attack and were always crying in the bathroom at the school dance.

Like, Christ. Everything is framed like a movie where she’s the main character and she’s being persecuted by shadowy evil forces (i.e. the Disney corporate suits, mean critics, music peers, social media, society.)

Very this energy

The fact that you don’t even peep the irony in this is HYSTERICAL  :bibliahh:

Mind you Taylor is the same woman that stated: “There is going to be people along the way that will take credit for your accomplishments and for your fame” in her AOTY 2016 speech…

just to discredit a young female artist and take 50% of the royalties of a song she did not even write. Taylor Swift is so fake.

  Reveal hidden contents

Well Kanye never made Taylor famous but Olivia can’t seem to make a song that doesn’t sound like someone else’s

Oh but Hayley Williams who suspiciously got the exact same percentage at the exact same time -isn’t- the greediest artist oat right? Because y’all just have a narrative against Taylor and refuse to analyze this and realize it’s more than likely Olivia’s team  that offered the exact same percentage to both teams at the exact same time.

I can't believe it's 2023 and people are still doing this Gaga v Madonna/Rihanna v Beyoncé/Xtina v Britney kind of bullsh+t. Women truly live in a prison.

Taylor has all the success but is still jealous of this girl:doc:

Damn, Olivia is really getting from Taylor the same treatment Gaga got from Madonna back in the day. It’s so so sad to see, especially coming from someone who’s been so vocal about her feminism. Imagine being this pressed over a young, successful woman :pukey:

so far, in terms of image and playing the media game, her and Taylor are 2 peas in a pod.

i’m seeing now that this comparison has stuck for good and will continue popping up, in the britney/xtina gaga/madonna fashion. i’m interested to see how Olivia will handle it.

Madonna never took credits from Gaga though over a much bigger similarity.

She may have shaded her to be petty but that’s where it ended. What Taylor has done is far worse.

I ain’t the sad one here, you’re the one moaning and b*tching about Taylor :ahh:

I ain’t sad for Olivia or Taylor. At the end of the day they’re in a tax bracket we’ll never reach and I ain’t about to be outraged on behalf of either of them and all their privileged problems are no skin off my back.
